But, never once will we feel the pleasure of being close to nature.Worse still the programs such as those on the Discovery Channel make n ature seem so stra nge, and so far away, in the forests of the Amaz on or in the wilds of Africa. 17、ealizing that the flowers, pla nts or a couple of trees in their backyard are n ature and they are equally precious. The truth is n ature is so close to us. We dont n eed to go any where far to enjoy such experie nces. It is right there in our backyards. Or, in parks, garde ns, forests, or n ati ona

18、l parks.All we n eed to do is make an effort to get closer to n ature know it, appreciate it, and explore it. Feeli ng the soil un der our feet and the wind in our hair; listening to the sound of the fallen leaves and taking in the smell of the wet soil all these are pure joy to the sen ses that we

19、must experie nee.I have n ever bee n able to un dersta nd people who dont see the point in traveli ng. The com mon reas on is that traveli ng is a waste of time and mon ey. rve heard some are 1) scared to travel too far away. I cant help but feel sorry particularly for those who 2) perceive the expe

20、rie nee of see ing a new place as a 100 percent 3) negative one. Telling them stories about unusual encounters does nt 4) result in the expected curiosity but a Why would you wanna go there!? It makes me 5) lose faith in huma ni ty. Experie nee is the best teacher and knowledge is power. The things

21、traveling can teach you are beautiful because you lear n to trust in what you see rather tha n what you are told.It was Mark Twain who said, Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and n arrow- min ded ness, which in my mind 6) goes down as the closest to the truth about traveli ng. Too bad there aren

22、t eno ugh people with the means to travel actually doing it. If you have the means to go abroad, you should do it despite going out of your comfort zone.
