SCOPE 适用围This Regulation covers new pneumatic tyres designed primarily, but not only, for vehicles in categories M 2 , M 3 , N and O 3 and O 4 . / However, it does not apply to tyre types identified by speed category symbols corresponding to speeds below 80 km/h. 本条例适用于主要为 M 2,M 3, N 和O 3

Snow tyre means a tyre whose tread pattern, tread compound or structure are primarily designed to achieve in snow conditions a performance better than that of a normal tyre with regard to its ability to initiate or maintain vehicle motion. “ 雪地胎 ” 是指胎面花纹、

5、胎面胶或胎面结构专为雪地行驶设计的轮胎,在启动或保持车辆运行能力方面,它比普通轮胎的性能更为优越。2.2.3. Special use tyre means a tyre intended for mixed use both on- and off-road or for other special duty.These tyres are primarily designed to initiate and maintain the vehicle in motion in off-road conditions;这些轮胎的设计主要是启动和维持在越野条件下运动中的车辆, “ 特胎 ” 是指

Structure of a pneumatic tyre means the technical characteristics of the tyres carcass. A distinction is made betwe

Diagonal or bias-ply describes a pneumatic-tyre structure in which the ply cords extend to the beads and are laid at alternate angles substantially less than 90 to the centreline of the tread; “ 斜交 ” 是指胎体帘线延伸至胎圈,

Radial describes a pneumatic-tyre structure in which the ply cords extend to the beads and are laid substantially at 90 to the centreline of the tread, the carcass being stabilized by an essentially inextensible circumferential belt. “ 子午线 ” 是指胎体帘线延伸至胎圈,并与胎面中心线呈 90

Cord means the strands forming the fabric of the plies in the pneumatic tyre; “帘线”是指充气轮

Tread means that part of a pneumat

12、ic tyre which comes into contact with the ground, protects the carcass against mechanical damage and contributes to ground adhesion; “胎面”指充气轮胎接触地面的部分,它可以保护胎体免受机械损伤,并具有支撑作用;2.9. Sidewall means the part of a pneumatic tyre between the tread and the area designed to be covered by the rim flange; “ 胎侧 ”

However, in case of tyres identified by the tyre to rim fitment configurat

Over-all width means the linear dis

Section height (H) means a distance equal to half the difference between the outer diameter of th

Nominal aspect ratio (Ra) means one hundred times the number obtained by dividing the number expressing the section height (H) by the number expressing the nominal section width (S 1 ), both dimensions expressed in the

The n

The nominal aspect ratio,

Rim means the support for a tyre-and-tube assembly, or for a tubeless tyre, on which support the tyre beads ar

Theoretical rim means a rim whose width would be equal to x times the nominal section width of a tyre; the value of x shall be specified by the manufacturer of the type; “ 名义 轮辋 ” 是指宽度等于轮胎名义断面宽 x 倍的轮辋; x 值由轮胎制造商规定;2.21. Measuring rim means the rim on which

Chunking means the breaking away of pieces of rubber from the tread; “崩花”是指胎面花纹块(条)崩裂

Tread separation means the pulling away of the tread from the carcass; “ 胎面分离”是指胎面与胎体分离;2.27. Load-capacity index means o

28、ne or two numbers which indicate the load the tyre can carry in single or in single and dual operation at the speed corresponding to the associated speed category and when operated in conformity with the requirements governing utilization specifi ed by the manufacturer. A type of pneumatic tyre can have either one or two sets of load capacity indices depending on whether or not the provisions of paragraph 6.2.5. are applied. The list of these indices and their corresponding loads is given in ann ex 4
