1、Quantum StorNext 4.01实验环境:服务器:Windows 2008 R2 x64 客户端1:Windows xp x32 客户端2:suse linux 11 存储系统: Freenas 虚拟4块iSCSI硬盘 Metadata: 10G 数据盘:30G*3通常情况下Stornex是用于FC SAN的环境以获得更好的性能表现,这里为了实验的方便,采用iscsi的环境,服务器及客户端都必须能够与外部存储连接。服务器及客户端的磁盘配置在FreeNAS上虚拟出4个磁盘,1个10G用来做metadat,3个30G用来做数据盘 R2 x64服务器端挂载iscsi磁盘服务器挂载磁盘后不要
2、进行磁盘初始化Windows XP挂载iscsi磁盘suse linux挂载iscsi磁盘Quantum StorNext FS文件系统做为一个跨平台的文件共享系统,基本长支持目前所见的所有系统平台,包括windows、linux、MAC、IBM AIX、HP-UX、SUN Solaris。Quantum StorNext 从4.0开始服务器端就不支持32位的Windows系统了,具体兼容情况请查看:昆腾Quantum StorNext 4.1 支持平台兼容列表(操作系统及磁带库)Quantum StorNext 4.01服务器端的安装运行安装程序,选择“Install StorNext”进入
3、安装的欢迎界面同意安装协议填写用户信息选择完全安装,包括服务器端和客户端,根据实际情况可以选择只安装服务器端开始安装完成安装安装完成后显示授权信息,Quantum StorNext可以免费试用30天。configure stornext进行配置Quantum StorNext 的配置界面添加name servers,这里只有一台服务器,所以只填一个。对磁盘进行label,只有进行过label的磁盘才可以加入到stornext的文件系统中。对磁盘进行label原有数据会丢失label磁盘的配置参数完成label后的磁盘,Volume Type显示为“SNFS-EFI”在C:Program Fil

11、端的安装基本一样。这里选择“client only”安装完成之后先指定Quantum StorNext 服务器运行Client Configuration,可以看到fs1的stornext文件系统已经被扫描到了挂载fs1文件系统在我的电脑中可以看到多了一个fs1的本地磁盘。到这里windows XP客户端的Quantum StorNext 配置完成。Quantum StorNext 4.01对linux提供了丰富的支持,悲剧的是32位系统开始渐渐消失,redhat的RHEL5已经不支持32位系统了。具体兼容情况请查看:昆腾Quantum StorNext 4.1 支持平台兼容列表(操作系统及磁
