creatingus.Iwouldn'tbeherewithoutmyparentscreatingme,nurturingme,feedingme,changingmydiapers,lovingme,huggingme,andallofthat.

teachers,andthentherewherementors,thecoaches,andthenmymotherwasthereintheafternoonhelpingmedomyhomeworkandbetutoring.Andthenintheeveningmyfatherwastherehelpingmeinsports,coachingusinsoccerandinthewintersskiing,sledding,iceskating,icecurling,andallthosekindsofthings.Myfathertaughtmeaboutdisciplineandmyloveandappreciationforsports.Andhegavememyfirstgreatadvice,bysaying,'Whateveryoudo,Arnold,beuseful.'

somesweatyclothesinthegymbag.IhadthisonelittleapartmentandonThanksgiving,thebodybuildersfromGold'sGymcametomyapartmentandtheybroughtmepillows,dishes,silverware,allofthosethingsIdidn'thave.

你们也经常看到有报道说，我从一开始就决心成为健美

冠军，然后就开始了每天五小时的训练，再然后我就成了有

史以来最年轻的“宇宙先生”。

是的，那没错，但事实上，这

不是故事的全部。

AndevenablackandwhiteTVandthetransistorradio,whichIstillhavetodayontheendtablenexttomybed.ThegenerosityIsaw.TheamountofhelpthatIgotwhenIcametoAmericawasabsolutelyextraordinary,sawfirsthandhowgeneroustheAmericanpeopleare.AndtheninGold'sGym,therewasamagicalplacewithallofthechampions,Mr.Americas,Mr.World,Mr.Universe,everyonewastraining,powerlifters,Olympicchampionsandsoon.Andtheyhelpedmechangefromanamateurchampiontoaprofessionalchampion.

如果我没有在故乡的湖边遇到一位救生员，如果我没有

遇上教我负重训练和在树上做引体向上的健美运动员，那就

没有以后的故事了。

俱乐部，那里的教练教会了我举重和健美。

他们帮助了我、
