2.ClickGeographicprocessing,clicktheenvironment,selecttheprocessingrangeinthepop-upfolder,selectthesameasthelayerlanduseintherange,thenselectrasteranalysis,andselectthesameasthelayerlanduseinthepixelsize.
3.Deriveaslopedatasetfromelevationdata.OpentheArcToolbox,selectionspatialanalysistool,selectthesurfaceanalysis,selecttheslope,popuptheslopedialogbox.Selectelevation,clickOKintheinputgrid.
4.Adistancedatasetisderivedfromtheentertainmentplacedataset.InArcToolbox,thespatialanalysistoolisselected,thedistanceanalysisisselected,theEuclideandistanceisselected,andtheEuclideandistancedialogboxispoppedup.Selectrec_sites,clickOKintheinputrasterdataorelementsourcedata.
5.Followthesestepstoderiveadistancedatasetfromanexistingschooldataset.
6.Reclassifytheslopedataset.Selectthespatialanalysistoolinarctoolbox,selectthereclassification,andpopupthereclassificationdialogbox.Selectslope_elevate,clickclassificationintheinputgrid,popuptheclassificationdialogbox,selecttheequalintervalintheclassificationmethod,select10categories,clickOK,enterfrom10to0inturninthenewvalue,clickOK.
7.Followthestepsin6toreclassifythedatasettothedistancetotheentertainmentplace.
8.Followthestepsin6toreclassifythedatasettotheexistingschooldistance,butdonotenteritagaininthenewvalue.
9.Reclassifythelandusetypedataset,openthereclassificationdialogbox,clicktheinputgriditemdrop-downarrow,clicklanduse,clicktheResclassfielddrop-downarrow,clicklanduse,intheNewvaluescolumntoenterthefollowingcorrespondingvaluesforeachlandusetype.

10.Right-clicktheReclass_land1layerinthecatalogtable,clickProperties,clicktheSymbologytab,clicktheDisplayNoDataasdrop-downarrow,andthenclickArcticWhite,todisplayemptyinthiscolorValueunit(waterbodyandwetland),clickOK(OK).
11.SelectthespatialanalysistoolinArcToolbox,selectthemapalgebra,selectthegridcalculator,andopenthegridcalculatordialogbox.Weightsandmergeseachdataset.Double-clicktheReclassofDistancetorec_siteslayerinthelayerlist,addittotheinputboxoftheoperationexpression,clickthemultiplicationsigntoentertheoperationexpression,clickthecorrespondingnumericalsymboltoentertheoperationexpression,clicktheplussigntopressthetwist,double-clicktheReclassofDistancetoschoolslayer,clickmultiplyPressthebuttonandclickenter0.25.9.clicktheplussignbutton,double-clicktheReclassoflanduselayer,double-clickthemultiplierbutton,double-clicktheinput0.125,double-clicktheplussignbutton,double-clicktheReclassofslopelayer,clickthemultiplierbutton,clickenter0.125.ClickOK.

13.Clicktheoutputdatasettwice,renamethedatasettoSuitability,anddeletetherestofthelayersinthedirectory,savethemapdocument,andend.
