SPRIK）isacross-disciplinaryandcross-institutionalresearchprojectfocusingoncorpus-basedcontrastivelanguagestudies（Norwegian,English,French,German）,especiallyinformationstructureatdifferentlevels.TheSPRIKprojecthastheover-archingstrategicaimofenhancinglinguisticresearchinNorwaywithincontrastivelinguistics,stylistics,andsemantics/pragmatics,aswellaslinguisticallyorientedtranslationstudies.
CentraltotheprojectisresearchontheOsloMultilingualCorpus（OMC）.Suchparallellcorporarepresentaninvaluablesourceofinsightintotheinterplayofvariousfactorsthatdetermineinformationstructureinalanguagewhilealsosheddinglightonthecross-linguisticvariationinthestructuringofsentencesandtext.Throughcontrastivestudiesofauthenticlanguageincontext,theprojectaimstoprovidenewinsights,methodologicalrenewalandempiricallybasedtheorydevelopment.Insightsgainedfromtheresearchprojectwillalsoberelevanttoappliedfieldssuchastranslationandforeignlanguageteaching.

自2002年起该刊改由哥本哈根大学英文系和清华大学外语系合办。
