WhilefeedingtheanimalsIwatchedtheworkerswhowerecleaningoutsomeofthedoghouseswithhealthydogswhowouldbereturnedtothestreets.Iwastouchedmostbyhowoftentheystoppedintheirdutytopetandplaywiththesedogs.Theydiditwithsuchlove.Whilesomeworkersandvolunteerswerepaid,otherswerepaidnothingtosupporttheseanimals.

MydaughterandIstayedfor4-5hours,beyondthetimeshehadscheduledtomeetfriendsforlunch.Shechosetocancelhersocialdateandspendmoretimewiththeseanimalsdespitethetoughconditions.Tiredanddirty,wefeltblessedtosharesometimewithpeoplewhocaredeeplyforrelievingthesufferingofsomanyvulnerablebeings.Andthenwewentback.Mayallthesickandinjuredanimalsberelievedoftheirsuffering.
