ThishasbecomeoneofthebiggestquestionsfacingyoungChineseinanageof*unprecedenteddigitalinterconnectedness.InapollconductedbytheHuashangBaonewspaperinXi’an,17of40youngpeoplepolledsaidtheyhaveaddedtheirparentsonWeChat,but14blockedthemfromseeingtheir“friends’circles”--aspacewherefriendscansharepicturesandpostswithoneanother.Ofthe20parentspolled,12haveaddedtheirchildrenonWeChatbutonlycouldseehisorherchild’s*updates.Theother11parentshadbeenblockedbytheirkidsfromhavingaccesstotheirfriends’circlesdespitebeingabletosendthemmessagesonWeChat.

2.Childrenoftenunderestimatetheirparents’tech*savvy.NotonlyaremanyparentsonsocialmedialikeWeChat,manyarealsosurprisinglyunderstandingofyoungpeople’sthinkingandlifestyles.Beforeautomaticallyblockingtheirparentsfromtheirfriends’circles,youngpeopleshouldthinktwice.
