III．教材分析与教材重组
1.教材分析
本模块以Basketball为话题，介绍了篮球知识和一些中外篮球明星。
篮球是世界性的运动项目，也是最受欢迎、集娱乐与锻炼身体为一身的大众活动。
作为游戏，它是一项人们喜闻乐见的全民健身活动的手段，具有活跃身心和健身强体的功能；作为竞技体育运动，其意义在于它是一项实施奥运争光战略的重要竞技项目，通过强者间的对抗与拼斗，能显示生命的活力，激励人们树立顽强的意志、勇敢的作风、集体主义精神和克服困难、自强不息、为国争光而夺取胜利的信念。
对培养勇敢、机智、组织纪律性、集体主义精神和爱国主义情怀都有益处。
虽然篮球是最安全的运动项目之一，但也有危险。
通过本模块的学习，同学们还可了解中外运动员赛场上的不同风格。
1.1INTRODUCTION介绍篮球规则和NBA组织，为本模块的学习奠定了良好基础。
1.2READINGANDVOCABULARY包括两篇文章，分别介绍篮球巨星MichaelJordan和WiltChamberlain。
1.3SPEAKING要求学生小组谈论美国的NBA和篮球运动。
1.4GRAMMAR（I）CONVERSION学习构词法知识：
名词与动词之间的词性转换。
1.5LISTENINGANDVOCABULARY通过听评球，了解篮球知识；辨别表达情绪和情
感的词汇，为后面的FUNCTION部分打下基础。
