0.Preface
Manufacturingtechnologyisnotonlyameasureofacountryanimportantindicatoroftheleveloftechnologicaldevelopmentisthefocusofinternationaltechnologicalcompetition.Machinerymanufacturingtechnologyisthestudyofproductdesign,production,processing,manufacturing,sellinganduse,maintenanceservicesandeventhewholeprocessofrecyclingtheengineeringdisciplines,istoenhancequality,efficiency,competitivenessasthegoal,includingmaterialflow,informationflowandenergyflowcompletesystemworks.Withthedevelopmentofsociety,therequirementsforproducts,greatchangeshavetakenplace,askedtodiversespecies,updatetospeed,qualitytohigh-end,theusetobeconvenient,thepricemustbereasonableandappearancetoappearance,higherdegreeofautomation,servicebetter,moreandmoretomeettherequirementsnecessarytoadoptadvancedmachinemanufacturingtechnology.Thecharacteristicsofadvancedmanufacturingtechnology:
(1)itisthe21stcenturytechnology.
(2)itisthetechnologyforindustofmicro-holeslot,narrow,arbitrarycurves,withallowanceofsmall,highprecision,shortproductioncycle,manufacturinghighlighttheadvantagesoflowcost,hasbeenwidelyapprialapplications.(3)itistoharnesstheproductionprocesssystemsengineering.(4)itisatechnologyforglobalcompetition.(5)itistheunityofthethreeelementsofmarketcompetition.
However,EDMwirecuttingtechnologyisoneofadvancedmanufacturingtechnology,mechanicalproductionandwideapplication,itismainlyusedforprocessingavarietyofcomplexshapesandprecisionsmallparts,forexample,Diepunch,die,punchanddie,fixedplate,stripperplateandsoon,formingcutter,model,EDMmachiningthemetalelectrode,avarietyliedinproduction,thecurrentaccountabroadWEDMEDMover60%ofthetotal.ThefollowinghighlightsWEDMmachiningtechnologyandapplicationofprinciplesanddevelopmenttrends.
1.PrinciplesofWEDM
WEDM(WirecutElectricalDischargeMachining,referredtoastheWEDM),sometimesalsoknownascutting.Thebasicphysicalprincipleisthepresenceoffreepositiveionsandelectronstoaccumulate,andsoontobeionizedtoformaconductivechannel.Inthisstage,acurrentbetweentwoplates,leadtonumerouscollisionsbetweenparticlesoccur,formingaplasma,andsoonincreasedto8000to12,000degreesCelsius,meltingmomentsinthetwoconductors,someofthematerialatthesametime,theelectrodeanddielectricfluidvaporized,formingabubble,therulesanditincreaseduntilthepressureisveryhigh.Andcurrentinterruption,thetemperaturesuddenlydrop,causingthebubbleimplosion,themomentumgeneratedtomeltthematerialthrownintothecrater,andthenthematerialiscorrosivefluidinthedielectricre-condensedintoasmallball,andwasdischargeddielectricfluid.NC-controlledthenthemonitoringandcontrol,servobodies,sothatthephenomenonofuniformdischargetoachievetheprocessingofmaterialstobeprocessed,makingitmeettherequirementsofsizeandshapeprecisionproducts.
Onthisbasis,ourdomesticdevelopmentoftheFastWireSystem(HS).EuropeandJapan,developedthewalkingsystem(LS).Themaindifferenceis1,theelectrodewireoftungstenandmolybdenumalloywireused,theforeignuseofbrass.2,byspecificationoftheworkingfluid,demonizedwaterusedabroad.3,takethewireofthespeedof11meters/secondorso,abroadfor3to5m/min.4,werepeattheelectrodewireistouseuntilthebrokenwiretotheforeignisnotreusedafterthewalk.5,ourprecisionthaninothercountries.
Accordingtotheelectrodewirerunningatdifferentspeeds,andprocessingqualityofdifferentWEDMisusuallydividedintothreecategories:
thefirstistogowirespeedWEDM(WEDM-HS),theelectrodewireforhigh-speedreciprocatingmotion,generallytakethewirespeedof8~10m/s,theelectrodewirecanbereused,thehigherprocessingspeed,rapidwalkingeasilyleadtotheelectrodewireandreversewirejitterwhenthepause,thedeclineinthequalityprocessistheproductionanduseofthemainmachinespecies,butalsoouruniqueWEDMmodel;secondisthelow-speedWEDMwirewalk(WEDM-LS),theelectrodewireforlow-speedone-waymovement,generallytakethewirespeedislowerthan0.2m/s,nolongerinuseafterdischargeelectrodewire,smooth,uniform,smalljitter,processing,betterquality,buttheprocessingspeedoflowerproductionanduseisthemainforeignmodels.Thethirdclasstogowire-speedWEDMandaccuratelyshouldbecalled"multi-speedtogowire."Isouroriginal,anditsprincipleistocuttheworkpiecerepeatedly,beginningwithfastspeedwiretube,stronghigh-frequencytocut,asthecurrentFastthreadcut,thelastknifewiretubewithaslowerratethanweakhigh-frequencycurrenttorepairlight,therebyenhancingtheprocessingfinish;andwire-speedreduction,theguidewheelandbearinglessjitter,precisionisalsoincreased;Inaddition,thefirstknifetocutthefastestspeed,thencuttingandcuttingtheamountoflightrepairisverysmall,therefore,generallyMitotimetogethercuttheknifethanthespeedwirecutfaster.
Trajectorybasedonthecontroloftheelectrodewireindifferentforms,canbedividedintothreeWEDM:
oneisanimitationofshapecontrol,beforecuttingtheconductingwire,pre-createthesameshapeasthedieandtheworkpiece,theprocessingtimeroughanddiewhiletheworkpiececlampinginthemachinetable,theelectrodewireinthecuttingprocesscloselyforthetrajectorymovesclosetotheedgemode,therebycuttingouttheshapewiththemoldandprecisionpartstothesame;theotheristheopticaltrackingcontrol,theconductingwirecuttingbeforeamplificationunderacertainpercentageofpartdrawingsdepictanopticaltrackingmap,theprocessingmachinewillbeplacedinopticalpatterntracingstage,thestageoftheopticalheadtrackingtofollowtheinklinegraphisalwaystrajectory,thenbymeansofelectrical,mechanicallinkage,thecontrolmachinetablewiththeworkpiecerelativetothemovementoftheelectrodewiretodosimilarfigurestocutoutshapeswiththesamepatterntotheworkpiece;anotheroneisthedigitalprocesscontrol,advanceddigitalautomaticcontroltechnology,thedrivemachineaccordingtothegeometricshapeoftheworkpiecebeforeprocessingparametersbasedonpre-programmedprocessingoftheNCmachiningprogramautomatically,withoutmakinglooklikeboardandneednotdrawEnlargement,twoformsofcontrolthantheprevioushigherprecisionandwiderangeofapplications,morethan95%athomeandabroadWEDMhaveadoptedCNC.DirectDigitalControl(DNC)EDMwirecuttingsystemcanimprovethelevelofautomation,theoverallproductivityandresponsiveness.
2.WEDMCharacteristicsandApplication
Theso-calledEDMwirecutting,istomoveforwardtothefilament(diameterofabout0.5mmorless)tomakeelectrodes,theelectrodewireandthesparkdischargebetweentheworkpieceandsimultaneouslydrivenbytheshapeofthepartsrequiredforprocessing.
2.1.WEDMcharacteristics:
(1)it0.03~0.35mmmetalwiretotheelectrodetool,donotneedtocreateaspecificshapeoftheelectrode.
(2)Althoughtheprocessismainlyflatshapeoftheobject,butinadditiontothedecisionoftheinsideofthewirediameterfootminimumdiameterR(radius+wiredischargegap)suchrestrictions,norestrictions,nocomplicatedatthebeginningofallcanbeprocessed.

(8)atthebeginningofanycomplexparts,aslongasthepreparationofprocessingcanbeprocessed,andthusverysuitableforsmallbatchproductionofpartsandtestproducts,processing,shortprocessingcycle,applicationflexibility.
