WangYongzhi,formerchiefdesignerofChina’sMannedSpaceProgram,said,“ThelaunchdatehadoriginallybeenscheduledforaftertheOlympicsandParalympics（残奥会）.ShenzhouVIIwillbelaunchedsometimeinOctoberifeverythinggoesasplanned.Theexactlaunchdatewillbedecidedaccordingtoweatherconditions.”

ShenzhouVII,tobelaunchedfromtheJiuquanSatelliteLaunchCenter,willbeourcounlry’sthirdmannedmission.ShenzhouVIwaslaunchedonOctober12,2005,andShenzhouVonOctober15,2003.

QiFaren,formerchiefdesigneroftheShenzhouspacecraftseries,saidthecountrywastechnicallyreadytocarryoutitsmaiden（首次的）spacewalk.

“Therewillbethreetaikonauts（太空飞行员）aboardShenzhouVII.Oneofthemwillbeconductingthespacewalk.Wehaveachievedbreakthroughsinalloftheareasneededforthespacewalkandalsocompletedallgroundtests.Wearenowinthefinalstagesofinspectionsandtests,”Qisaid.
