Ithinkstudents’ratingoftheirteachersisnecessary,butitshouldbeconductedinawaythatcanreallyshedmeaningfullightonteachers’performance.Insteadofratingtheteachers’knowledgeonthesubject,studentsshouldbeaskedtoestimatewhattheyhavelearnedinacourse,andtoreportonsuchthingsasateacher’sabilitytocommunicatewithstudents,hisorherrelationshipwithstudents,andhisorherabilitytoarousestudents’interestinthesubject.
