Onesuchstrategythatbusinessesuseisknownas“productdifferentiation.”Thistermmeansthatacompanyadvertisesthefactthatitsproductisdifferentfromothersimilarproducts.Anumberofenvironmentallyfriendlycompanieshavedonethissuccessfully.Forexample,inmarketingtheirproducts,organicfoodcompaniesemphasizetheorganicaspect.Thatis,theyhighlightthefactthatnochemicalshavebeenusedtogrowthefood,andsoitisbetterforconsumers’healthandfortheenvironment.Thesedays,manyconsumersarelookingforproductsthathavenonegativehealthorenvironmentaleffects.
