  It’saclassicalbookwithabundantdescriptionofeveryone’sinnerheart,especiallythechangesintheirhearts.Itcanneverdeservetoomanyanalysesforitwassowonderfullyworked.Onecansayanythingbutordinarytoshowourrespectsandadmiration.

  Themansaid“IdonothavethattalentofconversingeasilywithpeopleIhavenevermetbefore.”Thewomansaid“Wealldon’tknowhim.”Thebookisfulloftheman’sprideandthewoman’sprejudiceinitslinesandwords.

  Fromhispridewecanseehisconfidenceandpersistence;whereasfromhispridewecan’tseehiskindnessandgentlenesswhichhehidbehindthesurface.

  InthebookoncetheproudMrDracytalkedaboutthetraitsanaccomplishedwomanmusthave,itneededathoroughknowledgeofmusic,singing,dancing,drawingandmodernlanguages,andbesidesthis,acertainsomethinginhermannerofwalking,inhervoiceandherbehaviour.What’smore,somethingmoresolid,theimprovementofhermindbywidereading.Itcouldneverbetoostrictforacommonwomantofollow.

  Abouttheattitudestothemarriage,CharlesDickensintheOliverTwistalsoshowedustheopinionsofthatday,hesaidifamanhasambitionstoenterpolitics,thenhemarriesawomanwithastainonhername,overthoughit’snotherfault,itmightspoilhischancesofsuccessinhislife.()Thesocietyiscruel,peoplemightusetheknowledgeofhiswife’sdoubtfulbirthagainsthim,andagainsthischildren,too.Andoneday,hemightbegintoregrethismarriage.
