Shefoundthatapartofthebraincalledthetemporo-parietaljunction(前颞顶叶交界处)wasmoreactiveinhigh-recalldreamers.Thiswastruebothwhentheyweresleepingandawake.

Thisareaofthebrainisresponsibleforcollectingandprocessinginformationfromtheoutsideworld.Thismeansthathigh-recalldreamersaremoresensitivetowhatishappeningaroundthem.Forexample,whentheyareawake,theyrespondmorestronglytohearingtheirownnames.Whentheyaresleeping,theytendtobewokenupmoreeasilybysoundsandmovements.
