1.形容词和副词的定义

形容词修饰名词，说明事物或人的性质或特征。

比如：

beatifulgirltallbuilding

副词主要用来修饰动词，形容词，副词或其他结构。

2.形容词与副词的比较级与最高级

当我们需要对两个事物作出比较时,需要用到比较级。

比较级的句子结构通常是：

sth+be动词（am,is,are）+形容词比较级+than（比）+anotherthing

Iamtallerthanyou.

Thisroomissmallerthanthatone.

☆注意☆比较的两者应该是互相对应的可比较的东西.

典型错误:

Myhairislongerthanyou.（我的头发比你更长.）

比较的两者是我的头发,你（整个人）,那么比较的对象就没有可比性.

Myhairislongerthanyours.或Myhairislongerthanyourhair.（√）

当我们需要对3个及以上事物进行比较时，需要用到最高级，表示所有东西/人中最……的一个。

最高级的句子结构通常是：

sth+be动词（am,is,are）+the+形容词最高级

Heisthetallestboyinourclass。

形容词的比较级和最高级是在形容词的基础上变化而来的,它的变化规则是:

①一般的直接在词尾加er和est,如tall–taller-tallest,strong-stronger-strongest,

②以e结尾的,直接加r和st，如fine–finer-finest,

③以辅音字母加y结尾的,先改y为i再加er、est，如funny–funnier-funniest

④双写最后的字母再加er、est，如big–bigger-biggest,thin–thinner-thinnest,hot–hotter-hottest

⑤多音节和双音节词在前面加more和most，如interesting-moreinteresting-mostinteresting,beautiful-morebeautiful-mostbeautiful

⑥部分形容词的比较级和最高级不规则，如good-better-best,bad-worse-worst,much/many-more-most,little/few-less-least

3.比较级与最高级的用法

（1）A+be+比较级+than+B，表示A比B更……

Thetreeistallerthanthatone.

（2）比较级+比较级，表示“越来越……”

Itbecomeswarmerandwarmer.

你变得越来越漂亮了。

（3）在含有or的选择疑问句中，如果有两者供选择，前面的形容词要用比较级；如果是三者供选择，那么形容词就用最高级。

（4）as……as，表示“和……一样”，中间形容词或副词用原型

TomisastallasJerry.
