普通名词：

就是本来就存在的一般东西的名词，如：

water,desk,book,air,work等。

普通名词又分为可数名词和不可数名词,可数名词有单、复数,不可数名词没有复数形式。

专有名词：

是特定的某人、地方或机构的名称，即:

人名，地名，节日名，时间名，国家名，单位名，组织名等等。

专有名词的首字母必须大写。

例如：

Hemingway海明威NewYork纽约Sunday星期日UnitedNations联合国等,2.可数名词在句中使用时一定要考虑到单、复数问题。

可数名词单数不能单独使用，前面必须有冠词a/an/the或者是形容词性物主代词等其它限定词（如:

acat,anapple,theboy,mywatch等），表达一类事物常用复数形式，也可用单数。
