equipment是不可数名词，不能用复数，不能与不定冠词连用，表示“一件器材”时应为apieceofequipment。

[易混辨析]　inorderto/soasto/sothat/inorderthat

（1）inorderto和soasto跟动词原形，此时不定式的逻辑主语应与句子的主语保持一致。

一般情况下，soasto结构不放在句首。

（2）sothat和inorderthat常与情态动词can，could，may，might，will，would连用，引导目的状语从句。

sothat和inorderthat引导目的状语从句时，如果主句主语与从句主语一致，也可以换成soastodo/inordertodo或todo。

sothat还可引导结果状语从句，写法上可以是so...that...，表“如此……以致……”。

（3）Wehurriedsoasto/inordertobeintime.

我们赶紧走，好准时到。
