根据双关语的特征、分类以及运用总结了一些双关语的翻译技巧。

研究的基本内容,拟解决的主要问题:

本论文主要对英语中双关语的定义、本质特征、分类、运用做了较详尽的论述,并说明了英语中双关语在翻译时应注意的一些方法,即直译、拆译法、套译法、侧重译法、翻译加注释法。

本文突破了双关语翻译仅止于直译和意译的传统方法。

英语双关语的汉译受语言文化等因素的制约,很多学者认为其不可译。
