但是小矮星彼得逃走了。

危难之际，哈利父母的灵魂出现了，在他们的帮助下，哈利逃回霍格沃兹。

在邓布利多的帮助下，哈利知道了伏地魔为了永生制造了七个魂器。

邓不利多带着哈利去寻找魂器。

因为一些原因，斯内普杀死了邓布利多，并告诉哈利自己是混血王子。

哈利决定完成邓布利多的遗愿，去寻找剩下的魂器，打败伏地魔。

暗中寻找并销毁魂器的哈利，意外地知道如果能够拥有三件死亡圣器，伏地魔将必死无疑。

但是，伏地魔也早已开始寻找，并布下天罗地网追捕哈利。

到了最后，哈利跟伏地魔大决斗，最终销毁了最后一个魂器，杀死了伏地魔，魔法界又重回安宁。
