试卷难度适中。

总分一百分，此次七年级英语期中考试卷，主要考察七年级上学期starterunit1---3,unit1——unit5九个单元的内容，是课改以来第一次真正把卷面书写、音标纳入考核并用分值体现的试题。

本次考试题分六个大题，共90分，卷面书写10分。

既有日常生活的题材----失物招领、寻物启事、自我介绍，又有学生感性兴趣的话题---姓名，符合新课程的要求，体现新课程的理念。

通过阅读短文，主要考查学生根据所获取的信息解决实际问题的能力。

阅读的难度不很大，完成任务的环节也比较简洁。
