　　department.IwasgrantedFirstClassPrizeeverysemester,andmyoverallGPAranked

　　No.1among113

　　students.In1999,Igottheprivilegetoenterthegraduateprogramwaivedoftheadmission

　　test.IselectedtheShanghaiJiaoTongUniversitytocontinuemystudyforitsbestreputationonCombinatorialOptimizationandNetworkSchedulingwheremyresearchinterest

　　lies.Attheperiodofmygraduatestudy,myoverallGPArankedtop5%inthe

　　department.Inthesecondsemester,Ibecameteacherassistantthatisgiventotalentedandmaturedstudents

　　only.Thisyear,IwontheAcerScholarshipastheoneandonlycandidateinmydepartment,whichistheultimateaccoladefordistinguishedstudentsendowedbymy

　　university.Presently,IampreparingmygraduationthesisandtryingforthehonorofExcellentGraduation

　　Thesis.ResearchexperienceandacademicactivityWhenasophomore,IjoinedtheAssociationofAIEnthusiastandbegantonarrowdownmyinterestformyfuture

　　research.In1997,Iparticipatedinsimulationtooldevelopmentfortheschedulingsystemin

　　Prof.Wang’s

　　lab.

　　WiththetoolofOpenGLandMatlab,Idesignedasimulationprogramfortransportationscheduling

　　system.Itisnowwidelyusedbydifferentresearchgroupsin

　　NUST.In1998,Iassumedandfulfilledasewageanalysis&

　　disposeprojectforNanjingsewagetreatment

　　plant.Thiswasmyfirstpracticetoconvertalaboratoryideatoacommercial

　　product.In1999,IjoinedthedistinguishedProfessorYu-GengXisresearchgroupaimingatNetworkflowproblemsolvingandHeuristicalgorithm

　　research.SoonIwasengagedintheFuDanGeneDatabase

　　Design.Mydutywastopickuptheusefulinformationamongdifferentkindsofgenematching

　　format.Throughthecomparisonandanalysisformanyheuristicalgorithms,Iintroducedanimprovedevolutionaryalgorithm--Multi-population

　　GeneticAlgorithm.Bydividingawholepopulationintoseveralsub-populations,thisimprovedalgorithmcaneffectivelypreventGAfromlocalconvergenceandpromotevariousevolutionary

　　orientations.ItprovedmoreefficientlythanSGAinexperiments,

　　too.Inthesecondsemester,Ijoinedtheworkshop-schedulingresearchinShanghaiHeavyDutyTyre

　　plant.Theschedulingwasdesignedfortherubber-makingprocessthatcoverednotonlydiscretebutalsocontinuous

　　circumstances.Tomakeabalancepointbetweenoptimizationqualityandtimecost,IproposedaDynamicLayeredSchedulingmethodbasedonhybridPetri

　　Nets.Thepracticalapplicationshowedthattheaveragemakespanwasshortenedbyalarge

　　scale.Ialsopublicizedtwopapersincorejournalswiththis

　　idea.Recently,IamdoingresearchintheCompositePredictoftheElectricalPowersystemassistedwiththetechnologyofDataMiningforBao

　　Steel.ItrytocombinetheDecisionTreewithRecedingOptimizationtoprovideanewsolutionfortheCompositePredictive

　　Problem.Thisprojectisnowunder

　　construction.Besides,InJuly20xx,IgottheopportunitytogivealectureinEnglishinAsiaControlConferencewhichisoneofthetop-levelconferencesamongtheworldintheareaofcontroland
