归化和异化

1.归化（domestication）:

指以译语文化为导向、以信息接受者为核心的翻译策略。

例如：

《红楼梦》译文：

TheStoryoftheStone

怡红院译文：

TheHouseofGreenDelight

亚洲四小龙：

thefourAsiantigers

班门弄斧：

teachone’sgrandmothertosuckeggs.

请译：

异化（foreignization，alienation）：

指以源语为导向的翻译，异化着眼于对民族文化差异性的保留，译文尽可能多地反映异域文化特性和语言风格，使译语文化的读者有出境感，其实质是注重形式对等。

比如铁饭碗译文：

ironricebowl

Killingtwobirdswithonestone.

Hungeristhebestsauce.

小结：

在商务英语翻译中涉及文化差异时既注意保留，也适度调整，尽量采用归化的翻译策略。

例：

成功的例子饭店命名Virtue，对应汉语：

味特优。

天有不测风云，人有旦夕祸福

异化翻译译文：

归化翻译译文：

Iknowtheweatherandhumanlifearebothunpredictable.
