教材分析
本单元是本册教材的第三单元，教学内容主要是围绕学生们感兴趣的动物园里的小动物展开，共分为A、B、C三部分。
A部分主要呈现四个形容词tall,short,fat,thin,使学生能在动物园这个情景中灵活得当地使用词汇及句型：
Lookat…It’s….来描述动物。
在Let’sspell中学习字母Ii在闭音节单词中的发音，训练学生能根据其发音规则听单词读音拼出相应单词。
B部分主要是继续呈现四个描述性的形容词small,big,long,short,并通过教学活动使学生能熟练掌握这四个描述性的形容词。
在Starttoread中通过两项专项练习，训练学生的初步阅读理解能力和表达能力；Let’scheck部分则检测学生对本单元重点词汇，句型的掌握；Let’schant巩固重点，强化语感。
C部分是拓展部分，以Storytime的形式渗透文化意识，使学生形成初步的阅读理解能力，促进学生综合语言运用能力的发展。
教学重点
七个描述性形容词的用法和在实际情景中灵活运用句型：
Lookat…It’s…Ithas…来描述动物的特征，达到听、说、认读。
能根据Ii在闭音节单词中的发音规则，形成记忆拼读相关词汇的能力。
教学难点
掌握A、B部分Let’stalk中情景对话的正确表达。
学生能将所学的句型根据具体的情景熟练地运用于日常生活中。
另外thin的发音学生不易掌握。
因此根据本单元词汇的特点课灵活运用对比法，情景法，引导学生在听听、做做、说说中掌握词汇，运用词汇；能根据三年级学生年龄段的生理和心理特点，恰当灵活地运用多媒体教学手段，设计适宜的游戏和活动，以任务型活动为中心，通过体验、实践、讨论、合作、探究等方式，提高学生的学习兴趣，激发他们的学生潜能，发展他们的听、说、认读和表达能力。

1.能在实际情景中灵活得当地使用词汇及句型：
Lookat…It’s….Ithas…来描述动物的特征，培养学生灵活运用所学知识进行交际的能力。
2.能在会话中灵活运用所学的七个描述性形容词，通过Let’sdo和Starttoread等活动训练学生对词汇的听说、认读。
3.能够听懂简单的听力材料、熟练认读词汇，完成Let’scheck部分的练习。
