Abstract
ManycollegestudentsfeeldifficulttoabsorbEnglishvocabulary,itispartlybecauseofthecomplicationofCET-4andCET-6vocabulary,andpartlyofthestudents’mechanicalmemorizing.
TherearemanyEnglishvocabularymemorizingstrategiesnowadays.Associationisaneffectivememorizingstrategy,whichcanaddstakeininquiringEnglishvocabulary,alsoimprovetheefficiencyofrecallingvocabularyandhelpcollectthenumberofvocabulary,allinallitwillpromotesEnglishlearningforcollegestudents.
Theessayfirstintroducestheorigin,developmentandsignificanceofassociationinvocabularylearning,byassociatingorlinkingalreadyfamiliarinformationtonewdata,thenewinformationcanberetainedandaccessedmorereadily.Thesecondpartemphasizesonthedomesticandforeignliteraturereview,includingLeechandRichards.Thethirdpartwoulddepictsappliableassociationmethodindetail,includingthewordformationassociation,themeaningassociationandthepronunciationassociation.Thenthefourthpartwillhaveanresearchontheadvantagesanddisadvantagesofassociation.Basedonthedisadvantages,wetrytoavoidorovercomethedefectsofit.Butweemphasizeontheadvantagesinapplication.
Associationisaneffectivemethod.Aftertheresearch,aseriesoftheorieswillbeputforwardsoastohelpcollegestudentsinquirevocabularybetter,thatisalsothesignificanceofthisessay.

摘要
关于大学英语词汇学习,许多大学生感到记忆困难,一方面因为四六级词汇复杂,使用较少,再者是因为学习者死记硬背。
现今有许多英语词汇学习策略,联想法就是一种很好的方法。
使用联想法不但可以一扫词汇记忆的枯燥乏味,还可以提高大学生记忆的效率,加大词汇量,促进英语学习。
本文首先介绍联想法的起源和发展,以及使用联想法学习大学词汇的重要意义,联想法即通过对新信息进行相近信息的联想或联系,来迅速获得新信息的过程。
本文第二部分文献回顾重在介绍国内和国外一些重要的联想法词汇记忆策略。
本文第三章旨在详细介绍具体联想法词汇学习策略,包括词形联想、词义联想、读音联想,在这三个大方面下还细化为很多方面。
第四章重在通过分析实验数据总结联想法学习词汇的优缺点,针对其缺点发现实际应用出现的问题,并克服或避免其缺陷,但重在介绍其应用中的优点。
联想法是一种十分有效的词汇学习策略,经过本文的分析,将会提出系统的词汇联想记忆法,帮助大学生攻克英语词汇学习难关,这就是本文研究的意义所在。

ManycollegestudentsfeeldifficulttotakeinEnglishvocabulary.Itisbecausetheirmechanicalmemorizing.TherearemanystrategiesforacquiringEnglishvocabulary.Associationisaneffectivemethod,byassociatingorlinkingalreadyfamiliarinformationtonewdata,thenewinformationcanberetainedoraccessedmorereadily.
1.1SignificanceoftheResearch
Associationisaneffectivememorizingstrategy,itnotonlyplaysanimportantroleinaddingstaketoinquireEnglishvocabulary,butalsoinimprovingtheefficiencyofrecollectingvocabulary,helpinggatherthenumberofvocabulary,itmustbehelpfultoencourageEnglishlearningforcollegestudents.
Aftertakingcontroloftheessenceofassociation,studentswillmakeaprogressintheirindependentstudy,theywilltakeinEnglishvocabularymoreactively.SoAssociationisdefinitelyagoodwayinhelpingstudentscultivatetheirautonomiclearninginthelife-longeducationsystem.
AndteacherscanmakefulluseoftheAssociationmethodtohelpstudentsamendtheirstudyandadvancetheprocessofteachingschedule.Aftertheapplicationtestofassociation,themethodwillbescientificinclassteachingandautomaticstudywhateverforlearnersorEnglishteachers.
Forfuturestudiesonthevocabularyacquirement,Associationmethodwillbeareferenceforanothersimilarresearch.ItisasignificantresearchintheareaofEnglishvocabularylearning.
1.2OrganizationofthePaper
Thedissertationconsistsof5chapters.Chapter1istheintroductionoftheassociationmethod,containingthesignificanceandorganizationofthepaper.Chapter2istheliteraturereviewfromforeignanddomesticrelatedresearches.Inchapter3,threemainmethodsofAssociationareintroduced,whichtakesthewordmeaningassociation,thewordformationassociationandthepronunciationassociation.Theauthorwillintroducesthecorrespondingtheoriestodefendthemethod,andanalysesthetypicalexamplesbasedontheassociationmethod.Chapter4doesanexperimentandquestionnairesurveyontheapplicationofAssociationtocollegestudents,itattemptstoprovetheefficiencyofthemethod.Thetestalsoinspectsthetheoriesandexamplesinthelastchapter.Thispartconsistsofthepreparationandprocessoftheexperimentandsurvey,thentheanalysisofdatabywayofhandlingstatistics,thusconclusionoftheresearchwillbeconductedinadvantagesanddisadvantages,somesuggestionsareputforwardtoovercomethefailingofthemethod.Chapter5containsabriefsummaryandconclusion.Itisabouttheachievementsofthestudyandprofoundconsiderationofthedefectsinresearchandsomehopesandadviceforfuturestudy.Inthelast,appendixesareadded,whicharethetestsandquestionnairesurvey.
