   Someweeksafterthefirstreportedsighting,theUnitedStatesAirForcewasgiventhejobofinvestigatingallthereportsofflyingsaucers.Becauseoftheconfusingvarietyofshapes,sizes,andcolorsreported,theAirForceadoptedthetermUnidentifiedFlyingObjects(UFO)todescribethem.

   SincetheAirForceofficialsbegantheirinvestigationofflyingsaucers,theyhaveidentifiedmostoftheobjectsasstars,planes,manmadesatellites,experimentalmissiles(导弹),orweatherphenomena.SomeoftheUFOreports,includingphotographs,weredeliberate(蓄意的)tricksmadetocheatpeople.
