Theresearchersalsostudiedtheeconomiceffectofchangingthecoloroftheentirefleetoftaxistoyellow.TheSingaporetaxicompanyinvolvedinthestudyownsabout16,700taxisinaratio(比例)ofoneyellowtothreebluetaxis.Ifacommercialdecisionismadetoswitchfrombluetoyellowtaxis,76.6feweraccidentswouldoccurpermonthor917feweraccidentsperyear.Assuminganaveragerepaircostof$1,000percarandadowntimeofsixdays,switchingthecolorofalltaxistoyellowcouldproduceanannualsavingsof$2million.
