Twoyearsago,AnnfoundthatafriendofhersinthePhilippinesdidn’thaveelectricity.AccordingtoAnn,herfriendcouldn’tcompleteherhomeworkandwasfailinginschool.“SoIwantedtodosomethingtohelpmyfriendinthePhilippines,”saidAnn.
Anngottowork.Afterafewexperiments,her“hollowflashlight”wasborn.Itshinesforaslongasyouholdontoit.AtthesuggestionofKatePaine,herninthgradebiologyteacher,AnnsubmittedherflashlightintotheGoogleScienceFair.

Now,“LittleRedWagon”isthenameofZach’sfoundation.Ithasraisedmoneyforplaygroundsandsheltersforhomelesschildren.Zachalsogivesoutthousandsofbackpacks.Hefillseach“Zachpac”withatoy,personalcleaningsupplies,socks,sewingsupplies,afirst-aidkitandfood.
Zachhaswonmanyawards,metseveralpresidentsandbeenontelevision.Butthatisnotwhyhewantstohelppeople.ZachBonnersaysifyouhaveagoodheartyouhavetouseit.And,hesays,charityworkisalotoffun.
