century,therecameoutanovelstyle,itoftenputakindofhorrorandmysteryasthekeynote,andalmostoccurinthedestroyedcastles,havingbeengiventhename“Gothic”novel.Suchnoveloftensetcastle,wilderness,ruinsandotherenvironmentasbackground,filledwithdark,mysterious,suspenseandbrimmedwithviolence,revenge,anddeathplot.Gothicnovel’sstructuralmodelreflectsinthestoryscenes,charactersparadigms,themesandotheraspectsofaseriesofinnovativeawareness.Oneofthebiggesthighlightsisthattherearenotonly“gothiccastle”,butalso“surrealhorror.”Thesocalled“surrealterror”,itreferstothepeopleintheworkssubjectingtosomeformofghosts,ghosts,monstersorsomethingunknowable.Sothattheyoftenmanifestafeelingofhighanxietysuchasfearofdeathorinsanity.Becauseoftheextremeexaggerationandrendering,thefeelingofthefearaboutcharactersisnotonly“imminent”,butalsothebodyisset.Infact,this
