这个结构可看作是连词as后省略了主语it和助动词hadbeen。
这种省略现象在状语从句中很常见,省略的前提是从句中的主语必须和主句主语一致,或从句中的主语是it,且从句中的谓语动词含有助动词be。

分词作状语需注意两种关系:
第一,当分词所表示的动作与主句主语之间的关系是主动的话,用现在分词(doing)表示;
如果是被动的话,则用过去分词(done)表示;
第二,当分词所表示的动作与主句谓语动词所表示的动作之间存在明显的时间间隔的话,主动关系用havingdone表示,被动关系用havingbeendone表示。

这是一句口头用语,意为:
“某人不能再忍受下去了”。
