英语试卷

本试卷分第Ⅰ卷和第Ⅱ卷两部分,共10页,满分为120分,考试用时120分钟。

注意事项:

1.答卷前,考生务必用0.5毫米黑色签字笔将自己的姓名、准考证号、考试科目填写在规定的位置上。

Convenienceisn’ttheonlyreasonforbottledwater’sriseinpopularity.Wordslike“pure”,togetherwithimagesofmountainsorglaciers(冰川),areusedtomarketbottledwater.Manypeoplebelievethatitmustbecleanerandmorehealthfulthantapwaterfrompublicwatersystems.Butthisisawrongidea.IndevelopednationssuchastheUnitedStatesandinEurope,rulesthatensuresafewaterareoftenstricterfortapthanforbottledwater.

Itmaycomeasasurprisethatasmuchas40percentofthewaterbottledintheUnitedStatesstartsoutastapwater.Beforebottling,somecompaniesfilterit,andtheymightaddmineralsfortaste.

Despiteitsloworigins,bottledwatercancostanywherefrom240to10,000timesmorepergallonthantapwater.Isthebottleeverbetter?
