Duties:

Parkstaffwilltrainvolunteersinbutterflyidentificationanddatarecordingforoneweekbeforevolunteersworkinteamoftwotohelptrackbutterflymonitoringareas.Butterflymonitoringareasare1~2milesinlengthandarewalkedonetimeperweek.Thereareatotalofthreebutterflymonitoringareaswithinthepark.Butterfliesareidentifiedbyusingbinoculars(望远镜)orbynettingandreleasing.Dataisrecordedondatasheets.

SkillsRequired:

Applicantsmusthaveselfmotivationanddesiretoworkwithothers.Volunteerswillworkduringdayswhentemperatureis70degreesormore,between10:

30amand5pm.Abilitytowalkalongdistanceinhotandhumidconditionsisneeded.Skillswithbasicbutterflyidentificationarenotamustbuthelpful.

Requirements:

ApplicantsmustcompleteaNationalParkServiceAgreementandhavetheirbackgroundslookedinto.U.S.citizenshipisrequired.ApplicantsmustbecurrentKentStateUniversitystudents.
