Hecouldberight.Afterthewar,aChicagobusinessmanoffered$5,000toanybodywithinformationaboutthebones.Awomanphonedhimandtoldhimsheknewwheretheboneswere.

Hearrangedtomeetheronthe102ndflooroftheEmpireStateBuildinginNewYork.TheymetandshetoldhimthatherhusbandhadcomehomefromChindwithfossilsofaprehistoricman.Sheshowedhimaphotographofthem.Thenshewalkedawayandwasneverheardfromagain.
