It could mean being laughed at , being fooled, or even being isolated. However, Isolation is

you'll do it no matter what difficulties you meet. All these are a test of how much you really want
to do it.And it will be better than anything else you can imagine.
If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that.

I never believed in Santa Claus. None of us kids did. Mom and Dad couldn't afford expensive presents and they didn't want us to think we weren't as good as other kids who, on Christmas
morning, found all kinds of fancy toys under the tree that were supposedly left by Santa Claus.
Dad had lost his job, and when Christmas came that year, we had no money at all. On
Christmas Eve, Dad took each one of us kids out into the desert one by one.
“Pick out your favorite star,” Dad said.“I like that one!
” I said.Dad smiled, “That's Venus(金星)”, he said. He explained to me that planets shone because reflected light was constant(持续的)
and stars twinkled because their light pulsed.“I like it anyway,” I said.“What the hell,” Dad
said. “It's Christmas. You can have a planet if you want.”And he gave me Venus.
Venus didn't have any moons or satellites or even a magnetic(有磁性的) field, but it did
have an atmosphere kind of similar to Earth's, except it was super hot—about 500 degrees or
more. “So,” Dad said, “when the sun starts to burn out and Earth turns cold, everyone might
want to move to Venus to get warm. And they'll have to get permission from your descendants(后代) first."
We laughed about all the kids who believed in the Santa myth and got nothing for Christmas but a bunch of cheap plastic toys.“Years from now, when all the junk they got is broken and long
forgotten,” Dad said, “you'll still have your stars.”
34.Which is the right order of the things that happened?

The 90-minute documentary, Amazing
China, which is co-produced by China Central
Television and China Film Corp, opened in
theaters nationwide on Friday.
The film focuses on the major
achievements thecountry has made since the
18th National Congress of theCommunist
Party of China(中国共产党十八大) in
2012 under Xi Jinping Thoughton Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.The
Documentarymainly focuses on key Chinese infrastructure projects(基础设施项目) in
aerospace, high-speed rail, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-MacaoBridgeand the world’s largest

A good documentary is usually with some individual stories rather than slogans(口号), and
Amazing China is no exception. One of the most touching moments in the film is probably the
interview of Nan Rendong, often called the "father of FAST".Sadly, after more than 20 years of
working at the site, the chief scientist and engineer of the project ▲ on Sept 15,2017because of serious lung cancer.Besides him, Amazing China also focuses on common people. In
the film, you cansee a young Tibetan woman volunteering in rural areas to help people away
from poverty. And, you canalso see a successful man fromFujian province who settles inthe
Gobi Desert, in northwest China, who has taken up a new career growing grapes.Themovie
