Filmsandcomputergameswithviolenceareverypopularintheworld.Somepeoplebelievethesehavenegativeeffectsonsocietyandshouldbebanned.Otherpeoplesaythesearejustharmlessrelaxations.Discussbothviewsandgiveyourownopinion.

Manypeople,especiallytheyoung,arenowseeminglytakingthoseviolentfilmsandcomputergamesaswaystoescapefromtheheavypressureinreality.However,otherpeople,mostlytheparents,areworriedaboutthenegativeinfluence.Todiscernthetruevalueofthatviolence,Ibelieveitmoresagacioustomakeacarefuldiscussionfirst.

Obviously,toomuchexposuretoviolentpicturesonthemassmedia,suchasinfilmsandcomputergames, withoutareasonablecensorship,maytosomeextent,produceanegativeinfluenceonpeople,especiallytheteenagers,andthusinducethemtogoastraybecauseoftheirvulnerablementality.Also,beingalwayssurroundedbyviolentinformation,citizens,withtheyoungmostlybeinginvolved,mayfeelinsecurelivinginthesociety,andthusfailtoenjoythehappinessinlife.Inthissense,banningthemseemstobereasonable.

However,informationisjustinformation,dependingonthereceiverstodecideintheiractivities.Filmsandviolentcomputergameshavealreadyexistedinthissocietyforyears,andpeople,youngorold,moreorless,havebeeninvolvedinthoseviolentpictures,butmostofthemarebehavingnormallyastheyusuallydo,leavingtheworriesaboutthosenegativeimpactsnotwell-grounded.Besides,facingsuchaseverecompetitionandrapidpaceoflife,citizensneedwaystoreleasetheirnegativemoods,andillusiveviolenceisjustagoodchoice.Otherwise,depressedforalongtimewithoutappropriatewaysout,thosepeoplemaybehaveabnormally.Furthermore,byenablingthepublictobeawareofthesituationandlearntotackleinillusions,violenceinrealitycanbereducedtoalargeextent,showingitsadvantagesinthisfield.

Towantextentdoyouagreeordisagree?

 “Idon’tseeanyvalueofthismusic,exceptforitsnoise”，thatwashowanoldmancomplainedabouttherecentlycomposedmusicplayedoverthepark.Wordslikethisarenotrarelyheardamongpeopleespeciallywhentalkingaboutgovernmentsspending.However,inmyopinion,publicservicesdoneedtheinvestmentfromgovernment,butitdoesnotmeantheywilloccupyallthegovernmentrevenueswithoutsharingwithotherfields,includingartssuchasmusicandpaintings.

Admittedly,thosepublicservices,withtheroadsystem,watersystem,electricitysystem,education,healthcareandemploymentinclusive,closelyrelatedtothelifeofthepublic,shouldbeputintothefocusofthegovernment.Noonewilldenytheimportanceofpublicservicestothebenefitofthepeople,thesocietyandthewholecountry.However,thegovernment’sdutyisnotonlytoprovidethosedirectbenefits,thosepracticalprojects,butalsotocreateapositivesociallivingatmosphere,althoughitmaynotlooksoeffectiveinreality.
