Mostofushaveprobablybeenangrywithourfriends,parentsorteachers.Perhapstheysaidsomethingyoudidn’tlike,oryoufelttheywereunfair.Sometimes,peoplecanstayangryforyearsaboutasmallproblem.Timegoesby,andgoodfriendshipsmaybelost.
Whenweareangry,however,weareusuallytheonesaffected.Perhapswehaveseenyoungchildrenplayingtogether.Sometimestheyhavedisagreementsanddecidenottotalktoeachother.However,thisusuallydoesnotlastforlong.Thisisanimportantlessonforus:
wecansolveaproblembylearningtoforget.
Byregardingproblemsaschallenges
Manystudentsoftencomplainaboutschool.Theymightfeeltheyhavetoomuchworktodosometimes,orthinktherulesaretoostrict.Wemustlearnhowtochangethese“problems”into“challenges”.Educationisanimportantpartofourdevelopment.Asyoungadults,itisourdutytotryourbesttodealwitheachchallengeinoureducationwiththehelpofourteachers.
Bythinkingofsomethingworse
Bycomparingyourselftootherpeople,youwillfindyourproblemsarenotsoterrible.ThinkaboutStephenHawking,forexample,averycleverscientist,whoregardshismanyphysicalproblemsasunimportant.Hecan’twalkorevenspeak,buthehasbecomeveryfamousandsuccessful.Weareprobablyquitehealthyandsmart.Let'snotworryaboutourproblems.Let’sfacethechallengesinstead.

Hismotherlookedafterhimaswellasshecould.Unfortunately,Martinstillcausedproblemsforhim-selfandhisfamily.Hewasnotinterestedinstudying,andheoftengotintotroublewiththepolice.Luckily,hismotherwasverypatient,anddidn’tgiveuptryingtohelphim.Intheend,shemadeadifficultdecision:
tosendhimtoaboy’sboardingschool.Martinhateditandusedtocausealotoftrouble.Oneday,hetoldhisteacherhewantedtoleavetheschool.EventheteacheragreedthatMartinwaswastinghistime.
Theheadteachersaiditwasnecessarytotalkwithhismother.Martincalledhismother,buttohissurprise,thisphonecallchangedhislife.“ItwasexactlywhatIneeded,”hesaid.“Mymotherhelpedmetounderstandhowmuchshehadgivenme.Shealsotoldmethateventhoughmyfatherwasnolongerwithus,hewaswatchingme,andwouldalwaystakeprideineverythinggoodIdo.That’swhenIdecidedtochange.Irealizethatsincemyfatherdied,Ihavebeenafraidofbeingalone,andhavetriedtomakemymotherpaymoreattentiontome.”
NowMartinhasreallychanged.Hehasbeenworkinghard,andisnowatopstudentinhisclass.Howwasheabletochange?
Hismother’slovehelpedhimtofeelgoodabouthimself,andasMartinhimselfsays,“It’sveryimportantforparentstobetherefortheirchildren.”

我应该被允许自己作决定吗?
很多青少年都有业余爱好。
但是有时候这些爱好可能会妨碍到学习,而且父母们也会担心孩子们在学校的成绩,青少年们觉得应该尽可能按照他们自己的意愿来锻炼他们的爱好。

这样很好,我和妻子看过他的每一场比赛。
我们是在没理由反对赛跑!
但我们的却觉得我们的儿子需要面对现实才行,既然他现在在逐渐长大,那么他就需要考虑到如果最终他没有成为一名专业的田径运动员那么会怎么办?
刘宇不是很赞同,他说;应该由我来为自己做决定”我的父母总是在告知我刻苦学习的重要性,而不是告诉我去做我喜欢的事情。
我很理解这一点。
但是我热衷于赛跑,作一名专业的田径运动员是我直想做的事。
刘夫妇坚信刘宇应该每晚都努力学习,因此他们不许他在上学时候的晚上练习赛跑。
刘宇说;“我知道这样做似乎有些严厉”但我们觉得我们所做的一切都是正确的,他必须要知道没有多少人会最终成为专业的专业的运动员,这是难以去实现的梦想,我们不许他每天锻炼是因为我们觉得他应该将更多的时间用在学习上。
