能借助词典对题材熟悉的文章进行英汉互译，译文基本流畅，能在翻译时使用适当的翻译技巧。

（三）实践环节

本课程的实践环节是在每单元安排的听说课，上课地点在语言实验室，内容是单独的整套的听说教程，其教学要求是学生能听懂语速适中的英语对话、短文、英语节目如新闻、科学报导、历史故事等，在听的过程中，培养学生的听力技能，能掌握听力材料的中心大意，抓住要点；

同时，能就所听内容进行口头复述、讨论等，在听懂听力材料的基础上，培养学生英语口语表达能力。

（四）本课程与其它课程的关系

本课程与英语的其它课程如精读、泛读、写作、翻译和听力都有密切的关系。
