ill与would的用法
■表示意志或意愿：
决心，愿意，……好吗？
Wewilldoourbesttosavethechild.我们会尽力抢救这个孩子。
Itoldhertostopcrying,butshejustwouldn’tlisten.我叫她别哭,可她就是不愿听。
注：
表示请求、建议或征求对方意见时，用Wouldyou…?
比用Willyou…?
更婉转。
如：
Will/Wouldyoupleasekeepthedooropen?
请让门开着好吗？
Will/Wouldyougowithme?
你愿意和我一起去吗?
■表示真理或习惯：
惯于，总是
Oilwillfloatonwater.没总是浮在水面上。
Shewilllistentomusicaloneinherroomforhours.他独自在房间里听音乐，一听往往就是几小时。
Hewouldgetupearlywhenhelivedinthecountry.他住在乡下时总是早起。
■表示要求：
一定，必须
Youwillreporttomeafterward.你稍后一定要向我报告。
■表示猜测：
可能，大概
Thiswillbethehouseyou’relookingfor.这大概就是你找的那所房子了。
Ithinkhewouldaccepttheinvitation.我想他会接受邀请的。

■wouldlike表示愿意
Iwouldliketohaveawordwithyou.我想同你说句话。

■wouldrather…than…宁愿……也不愿……
Iwouldratherfailthancheatintheexamination.我宁愿考不及格，也不愿意考试作弊。
■would与usedto的比较
（1）两者都可以表示过去经常做某事，常可互换。
如：
WhenIwasyoungIusedto/wouldgetupearly.我年青时经常早起。
（2）下列三种情况要用usedto，不用would：
◇强调与现在的对比时；
◇在故事开头时；
◇与be,stay,belong,live,like,think,know等状态动词连用时。
如：
Hedoesn’tworkhardasheusedto.他不像以前那样努力了。
Weusedtoswimeverydaywhenwewerechildren.Wewouldrundowntothelakeandjumpin…我们小时候天天游泳。
我们会跑到湖边，跳进水里……
Theyusedtolivehere,didn’tthey?
他们以前住在这里，是不是？
（3）与时间段或与表示“有时”意义的sometimes,attimes,nowandthen,fromtimetotime等连用时，宜用would。
如：
Hewouldsitlikethatforhours.他会像那样一坐就是几个钟。
Sometimestheboyswouldplayatrickontheteacher.有时孩子们会戏弄老师。
wouldlike意为“想，想要”，与want意义相同，但语气更委婉。
wouldlike可与任何人称连用，没有人称和数的变化，肯定句中would常在主语后面缩写为’d。
肯定句：
主语 +wouldlike…
一般疑问句：
Would+ 主语 +like…?
特殊疑问句：
疑问词 +would+ 主语 +like…?
基本用法：
1.wouldlikesth.“想要某物”。
如：
—Wouldyoulikeacupoftea?
—Yes,please./No,thanks.
2.wouldliketodosth.“想要做某事”。
如：
—Wouldyouliketogoshoppingwithme?
—Yes,I’dliketo./I’dliketo,butIhavetodomyhomework.
3.wouldlikesbtodosth“想要某人做某事”。
如：
JimwouldlikehisfriendtohelphimwithhisEnglish.
WOULD
1、用于过去将来时，如：
·He said he would come. 他说他要来。
·He said that he would be forty on his next birthday. 他说到下次生日他就四十岁了。
2、用来表示愿意/ 偏要/肯这种个人意愿，如：
·He would eat nothing. 他不肯吃东西; 他什么也不愿吃。
·I told him not to go, but he would not listen. 我叫他别去, 可他偏不听。
·He would go in spite of our warnings. 他不听我们的劝告, 执意要去。
3、表示过去的习惯动作，如：
·He would sit for hours doing nothing. 过去他常常坐几个钟头，什么事也不做。
·He would come to see us on Sundays. 星期天他过去经常来看望我们。
4、表示可能性或不确定性，如：
·I would be about ten when my brother left home. 我哥哥离开家时, 我大概十岁左右。
·It would seem to be getting warmer. 天气似乎变得更暖和了
5、用于虚拟语气，
1）表示假设，如：
·I could do so if I would. 要是我愿意, 我能够这样做（但我不愿意）。
·If you would do this for me, I should be grateful indeed. 若是你愿意为我做这件事, 我将万分感激 。
·They would be killed if the car went over the cliff. 如果汽车翻在悬崖下, 他们就会丧命。
·They would have been killed if the car had gone over the cliff. 如果汽车当时翻到悬崖下, 他们早就丧命了。
2）表示请求或个人想法、看法，使语气更婉转，如：
·Would you kindly show me the way to the station?
劳驾, 请问到车站的路怎么走?
·I would like to speak a few words. 我想讲几句话。
·Would you go with me?
你愿意和我一起去吗?
3）表示但愿、要是...该多好
·Would that I were young again. 我若能再年青些该多好啊!
（would 前常省略主语 I）
·We wish that he would come again. 我们但愿他会再来。
·I would rather you came on Sunday. 我倒是希望你星期天来 。
不可以跟doing
“wouldlike”意为“想要”，其语气比用like婉转些。
具体用法如下：
1.后面接名词或代词，表示“具体要”某样东西。
例如：
I'dliketwosweatersformydaughters.（我想给我的女儿们买两件毛衣。
）
Wouldyoulikeoneofthesemooncakes？
（你想要一块这样的月饼吗？
）
2.后面接动词不定式，表示“愿望，喜爱”，常用于有礼貌地提出邀请、请求或建议。
例如：
Iwouldliketodropmaths.（我想放弃数学。
）
Wouldyouliketocometosupper？
（你愿意来吃晚饭吗？
）
3.当主语是第一人称时，would可与should换用，它们都可以缩写为'd，并且like也可换成love.例如：
I'msurehewouldlovetocome.（我确信他愿意来。
）
Ishouldliketheredone.（我想要红色的。
）
4.“wouldlike”后面可以用动词不定式作宾语补足语。
例如：
Whatwouldyoulikemetodo？
（你想要我干什么？
）
I'dlikeyoutomeetmyparents，too.（我想要你也见见我的父母。
）

Wouldrather的虚拟用法
1．一般过去时表示现在或将来的愿望
Iwouldratheryouwenttomorrow（now）.我宁愿你明天（现在）去。
2.用过去完成时表过去的愿望
Iwouldratheryouhadn’tsaidit.我真希望你没有这样说过。
1.wouldrather表示"宁愿"
wouldratherdo
wouldrathernotdo
wouldrather…than… 宁愿……而不愿。
例:
----Shallwegoskatingorstayathome?
----Which___do?

2.wouldrather后接虚拟语气的用法
在wouldrather后面所跟的从句中，也可用虚拟语气，表示愿望，意为“宁愿”、“但愿”。
其形式为：
1）"wouldrather+主语+动词过去式"表示现在或将来的情况。
例:
IwouldratheryouwentnextSunday．
我愿你下星期天去。
2）"wouldrather+主语+动词过去完成式"表示过去的情况。
例：
I'dratheryouhadnotgivenupthejobthen.
要是你当时不放弃那个工作就好了。
3.还有wouldsooner,hadrather,hadsooner都表示"宁愿"、"宁可"的意思。
