Introduction

ThisarticleexplainsthesongsofEnglishtoChinesetranslationfromtheperspectiveofscoopstheory.Undertheguidanceofscoopstheory,translationfromvariousanglesexplorestheEnglishtoChinesetranslationofsong.FromtheperspectiveofscoopstheorytoexplaintheEnglishtoChinesetranslationofsongshelpsthestandardizationofsongtranslationprocess,sothatthetranslationofsongshasaqualitativeleapandinnovation.Inthispaper,throughtheintroductionofDomesticationandforeignizationexplainstranslationstandardsandskillsofthesongsinEnglishtranslation.Thetranslationofthesongisnecessarytomaintaintheintroductiontotheexoticculturalcharacteristics,butalsoadherestothenation'sculturalcharacteristics,inordertotranslationofthesongmoreinlinewiththeneedsofthepublic.EnglishtoChinesesongsshouldbepeople-oriented。

1.1Definition

TranslationScoopstheorynamelytheskopostheory.ScoopsareaGreekword,meaning"purpose".TranslationScoopstheory（skopostheorie）istheapplicationofconceptofScoopstotranslationtheory,itscoreconceptis:

themostimportantfactorinthetranslationprocessisthepurposeofthewholetranslationbehavior.Theterm"Scoops"usuallyreferstothepurposeofthetranslation.BesidestheScoops,Vermeeralsousedtherelated"goal（aim）","goal（purpose）","intention"（intention）,and"function（function）"andsoon.Nerdcomesupwithintentionandfunctionasabasicdistinctioninordertoavoidconfusion:

"intention"isdefinedfromtheviewpointofthesender,and"function"referstothetextfunction,itisjointlydeterminedbythereceiver'sexpectations,needs,ownknowledgeandenvironmentalconditions.

InVermeer’sscoopstheoryframework,receiverareoneofthemostimportantfactorsthatplayanimportantroleonthepurposeoftranslation.Bymeansofthereceivers,theyhavetheirowncultureandbackgroundknowledge,expectforthetranslationandcommunicationrequirements.Onetranslationpointstoacertainreceiver,sothetranslationistheproductionofdiscourseinthe"targetlanguagescenariosforaparticularpurposeandtargetreceiver.Vermeerthinkstheoriginaltextisonlysourceofthetargetaudiencethatprovidessomeoralloftheinformation.ItisVisiblethatlitheoriginaltextinthetranslationscoopshaslesssignificantthanit’sintheFunctionalEquivalenceTheory.

1.2Thegenerationanddevelopment

Inthe1970s,thefunctionalisttheoryroseinGermany.Itsdevelopmentgoesthroughthefollowingsuchstages.

Firststage:

Catherine,ricefirstintroducedthefunctionalcategoryintotranslationcriticism,andassociatedlanguagefeatures,typesofdiscourseandtranslationstrategiesanddevelopedtranslationcriticismthatbasedontherelationshipbetweenthesourcetextandthetranslationfunction,whichmadetheprototypeofthefunctionalschoolofthought.Roycebelievesthattheidealtranslationshouldbecomprehensivecommunicativetranslation,thatis,intermsofconceptualcontent,languageformsandcommunicativefunctionsispeer-to-peertotheoriginaltext.Butinpracticeshouldgiveprioritytothefunctionalcharacteristicsofthetranslation..

Thesecondstage:

HansVermeer（Vermeer）proposedthescoopstheory,translationwillfreefromthebondageoftheoriginaltextinacademicresearch.Thetheoryoftranslationisbasedontheoriginalpurposeandresultsofbehavior,thisbehaviormustbeaccomplishedthroughconsultation;Translationmustfollowaseriesofrules,theprimacyoftheruleisthepurpose.Thatis,thetranslationdependsonthepurposeoftranslation.Inotherwords,itdependsonthepurposeofthetranslationofthetranslation.Inaddition,thetranslationmustfollowthe"coherencerule"inthelanguageand"interlinguacoherencerule".Theformerreferstothetranslationmustbeinternallycoherent,whichseemstobeunderstandabletorecipients,thelatterreferstotranslationshouldalsohaveconsistencywiththeoriginaltext.Afterthesethreeprinciplesputtingforward,judgingthestandardoftranslationisnolonger"equivalence",buttheadequacyoftranslationsthatachievesanticipatedgoal.Vermeeralsoputsforwardtheconceptoftranslationcommission,whichthetranslatorshoulddecidewhether,whenandhowtocompletethetranslationtask.Thatistosay,thetranslatorshouldmakecorrespondingtranslationstrategiesaccordingtodifferenttranslationpurposes,andhavetherighttodecidewhatcontentcanbekeptintheoriginaltext,whichneedtobeadjustedormodifiedaccordingtothedifferenttranslationpurpose.

Fermibelievesthatthehighestprinciplesintranslationshouldbe"objectivelaws".Thatistosay,thedifferentaimsoftranslationhavealsodifferentstrategiesandmethodsinthetranslation.Inotherwords,thepurposeoftranslationdeterminesthetranslationstrategiesandmethods.ThehistoryofnaturalizedandalienationdisputeintheChineseandWesterntranslation,andeveninthepasttwotothreedecadesinthetranslationindustrywidelydiscussedformalequivalenceanddynamicequivalence,"scoopstheory"hasmadeaverygoodexplanation.TranslationintheendistotakeAssimilationorAlienation,dependingonthepurposeofthetranslation.Functionaltranslationtheorybasesthe"destinationprinciple"asthehigheststandardsandanytranslationactivitiesarethepurposeoftheact,theultimategoalandmainfunctionsofTitleTranslationsistohelppeopleunderstandthemaincontentofthefilmandtostimulatetheaudience'sdesiretowatch.Soweneedtodoasimpleunderstandingofthefunctionaltranslationtheory,especiallythe"teleological"genre.

1.3Usingprinciples

1.Thepurposeoftheprinciple

Scoopstheorythinkthatalltranslationactivitiesfollowthefirstprincipleisthepurposeoftheprinciple.Toachievethepurposeoftranslationbehaviordeterminesthewholetranslationbehaviorprocess,namelythedecisionmethod.Buttranslationactivitiescanhavemultiplepurposes,thesegoalsarefurtherdividedintothreecategories:

（1）thefundamentalpurposeofthetranslator（e.g.,tomakealiving）;

（2）thecommunicatereaders（suchasenlightenment）;（3）usingaspecialmeansoftranslationtoachievethepurpose（e.g.,inordertoexplainthespecialgrammaticalstructureofalanguageaccordingtothestructureofliteraltranslationmethods）.But,asisoftenthecase,"purpose"referstothecommunicativepurposeoftranslation,therefore,thetranslatorshouldbeclearitsspecificpurposeinagivencontext,andaccordingtothepurposetousewhatkindoftranslationmethod:
