TheThroughputgraphshowstheamountofdata,measuredinbytes,transmittedbytheWebserverduringeachsecondofthescenariorun.Throughputismeasuredinbytes/secondandrepresentstheamountofdatatransmittedbythewebserveroverthenetworkatanygiventime.Ideallythroughputshouldincreaseashitspersecondincreases,whichindicatesthatthereissufficientbandwidthtoprocessuserrequests.

YoucangaininformationonserverperformancebycomparingThroughputandHitsperSecond.Iftheserverisperformingasexpectedashitspersecondincrease,thenthroughputshouldalsoincrease.Thisisexpectedbehaviorbecauseanincreaseinhitswillrequiretheservertotransmitmoredatabacktotheusers.However,ifthenumberofhitspersecondincreasesandthroughputstaysconstantordecreases,thissignifiesthattheservercannotprocesstheincreaseinrequests(hitspersecond),resultinginanincreaseintransactionresponsetime.

Thegraphaboveexhibitsageneraldecreaseinthroughputduringtheentiretest,withaslightbutnoticeabledecreasejustbefore25minutes,correspondingtothespikeinhitspersecondinthepreviousgraph.Tocomparethesestatisticsitisbesttooverlaythegraphs.
