Manypeoplethinkitisveryimportanttoprotecttheenvironmentbuttheymakenoefforttodoitthemselves.Whydoyouthinkitisthecase?

Whatactionscanbedonetoensurethatindividualsprotecttheenvironment?

Environmentalproblemshavethreatenedtheworldbutfewpeoplehavechosentotakeanyactiontodealwiththeseproblems,althoughtheyrealisetheimpactoftheseenvironmentalwoesontheirlives.Weshouldimplementsomechangestoimprovethesituation.

Manypeoplespendmoneywisely,sotheyarenotwillingtopurchaseenvironmentallyfriendlyproducts,despitethefactthattheseproductscanhelppreservetheenvironment.Theseproductsarenormallymoreexpensivethanconventionalcounterparts.Forexample,LEDlightingdevicesareenergyefficient,butnormallychargeconsumersahigherpricethantraditionallightbulbs.Electriccarsarenormallylikelytocostmoremoneythanthosevehiclespoweredbypetrol.Asconsumersdonotoptforthesegreenproducts,itisnoteasytoconserveresourcesandreducepollution.

Anotherreasonisthatmanypeoplearenotwillingtochangetheirwaysoflife,eventhoughtheselifestylescanbeharmfultotheenvironment.Theuseofelectricalequipmenthasledtoasharpriseinelectricityconsumption,whichmeansthatthepowergenerationsectorhasahigherdemandforfossilfuels.Peoplealsoprefertotravelbycar,butcaremissionscancauseglobalwarming,whichisathreattotheenvironment.Therelianceondifferentelectronicproductsincludingmobilephonesisanotherissue,sincemanyoftheseproductsendupinlandfillsites.

Theseproblemscanbetackledbytwopolicies.Governmentscanenactlawstoforbidthosebehaviourswhichcancausedamagetotheenvironment,suchasdisposingofwastecarelessly.Thosewhodroplittershouldbefined,sotheenvironmentalimpactofthisbehaviourcanbereduced.Anothersolutionistooffersubsidiestoencouragepeopletogogreen.Forexample,thoseconsumerswhobuyfuelefficientcarscanbesubsidised,socaremissionscanbereducedsignificantly.

Currently,moreandmorepeopleareawareoftheimportanceofenvironmentalprotectionbutthepublicnevergiveprioritytoprotectenvironmentduringtheirdailylife.

Onereasonaccountsforthephenomenonisthatpeoplelivecarefullywithoutspendingtheirmoneyonenvironmentalproducts.Householdslivewithatightbudgetarenotwillingtospendtheirmoneytheseproducts,whosepricesarehigherthanothersimilargoods.Forinstance,LEDlightsareenergysaving,buttheyaremoreexpensivethanincandescentbulbs.Similarly,pricesofelectricvehiclesarehigherthanthoseoftraditionalvehiclesaveragely.Forthesakeofmoney,peoplequitbuyinggreenproductsandthisiscontrarytoourpurposeofenvironmentalprotection.

Anotherreasoncanbethatpeoplearenotwillingtochangetheirlivingstyles,whichneedtoconsumevariouskindsofenergy.Forexample,electronicappliancesconsumeelectricitywhiledrivingconsumespetrol.Especiallythosewhoarefondofplentyofmaterialsconsumemore.

Personally,thegovernmentaresupposedtoestablishrelevantlawstobancitizensfromdoingdetrimentalbehaviourstoenvironment.Punishmentsareimperativeforthosewholittered.Ontheotherhand,itisalsoimperativeforthegovernmenttogivesubsidiestoencourageenvironmentalprotection.Somecountries,suchasChina,providesubsidiesforthosewhopurchasingvehiclesunder1.6L.

Allinall,onlythroughthejointeffortsofgovernmentandindividualscanweliveinasustainableenvironment.

Currently,alargeproportionofchildrenareexposedtoanoceanofcommercialadvertisementsdaytoday.Iamonthesidethattheads,whichpurposelyincitekidstobuysnacks,toysandelectronicgames,shouldbelimitedoreven,banned.

Supposethatadsaimtokidswererectified,childrenwillnotrequesttheirparentstobuywhattheywantdayinanddayout.Kidslacksensitivitytoprice,nevertheless,parentstendtosatisfytheirmaterialneeds.Forinstance,somechildrenlikeexpensivetoysandgirlsareinfavorofclothes.Thiswillbringaheavyburdenforthemiddle-classfamilies.Onlybyminimizetheimpactofadsonkidscantheproblembeavoided.

However,wecannotdenythatsomeadsdohavetheiradvantagestokids.Someadvertisementspromotenutrientfood,suchasmilk,wheat,etc.Meanwhile,someadvertisebooks,gamesandeducationaltoys.Parents,whoarenotfamiliarwiththeseproducts,canhaveacomprehensiveverdictaccordingtoadvertisements.

Inanutshell,Istronglysuggestthegovernmentbanadswhosetargetconsumersarekids,especiallyiftheirproductsareharmfultochildren.Butiftheproductstheadvertisementsfocusonarebeneficial,thentheadsshouldbeallowed.
