Scientistswentontostudythebrainactivityasitrespondedtoeachwordandrecordedhowitlitupasthereaderscameacrossunusualwords,surprisingphrasesordifficultsentencesintheclassicalworks.Asaresult,thislighteningupprocessofthemindlastedlongerthanthatwhenvolunteersreadcommontexts,encouragingfurtherreading.
