  Others,however,holdtheoppositeview.Theyregardkeepingpetsasauselessbutharmfulthingtodo.First,petscantransmitdiseases.Secondly,thenoisesanddungofpetsaresourcesofpollution.Lastbutnotleast,asmanyrarebirdsandanimalsarekeptaspets,theywillsurelybehuntedonalargescale,whichmeansathreattothebalanceoftheecosystem.

  Currently,fabricatingacademiccredentialsisparticularlyrampantinChina,whereallrecruitmentsseemtoinvolvecredentials.Inordertosecurethejobtheywant,somejobseekerswithouttherequiredcredentialshavenoalternativebuttohavethemfabricatedbyprofessionalforgers.Whilecondemningusersoffakecredentialsonbothlegalandmoralgrounds,wesomehowtendtosympathizewiththemastheyarevictimizedbyasocietyaddictedtothecredentialmania.

  Amoredespicableformofcredentialfabricationisperpetratedbythosealreadyhighlysuccessfulpeople—businessmen,entrepreneurs,governmentofficials,celebritiesintheentertainmentindustry,etc.Theyusefalsecredentialsnotsomuchtoadvancetheircareersastoprojecttheirpersonalimageasanicon.Thisisagreaterevilbecausethosefabricatorscontrive,throughfraudulence,tosecureouradmirationandrespectonthespirituallevel.AmostnotoriouscaseisthescandalofTxxJxx,whopretendstobearolemodelforinnocentChineseyouth,withfalsePh.D.credentialfromanon-existentAmericanuniversity.

  Aseverycoinhastwosides,theGoldenWeekholidayshavealsobroughtaboutpilesofproblems.Foronething,duetothefactthatpeopleacrossthecountryarespendingtheirvacationsduringthesameperiodoftime,itisterriblycrowdedalmosteverywhere:

trains,buses,hotels,scenicspots,etc.,whichhaveruinedpeople’smoodforvacations.Foranother,somebusinessmentakeadvantageoftheweeklongholidaysandraisethepriceofcommoditiesandservices.

  Personally,Ibelievethatitisnecessaryforpeopletohavelongvacations,butthereisnoneedforthemtohavethevacationsduringthesameperiodoftime.Instead,theyshouldbeallowedthefreedomtoarrangetheirownvacations.Onlyinthiswaycantheyreallyrelaxandrefreshthemselvesforanewroundofwork.

  Inrecentyears,underthepretextofemploymentdifficulty,somestudentsreturnhometolivewiththeirparentsaftergraduation.Whiletheirparentsarebusyatwork,theyidleawaytheirtimedayafterday,leastconcernedwithfindingajobtohavetheirownsourceofincome.Worsestill,theyexhausteverypennyoftheirparentsandevengrandparentstobuyanapartmentfortheirownenjoyment.Indoingso,theyevenplungetheirparentsintoseriousdebts.
