CompleteflexibilityisfoundinallpagesoftheWizard,givingyouaslittleorasmuchcontrolas

youwouldlikeoverthefiletranslationsettings,beforecommittingtotheactualtranslationprocess.

使用板層映射(LayerMapping)選項按鈕,從PADSPCB層到AltiumDesigner層。

UsetheLayerMappingOptionsfromtheEditMappingbuttonintheImportWizardto

associatePADSPCBlayerstoAltiumDesignerlayers.

使用導入精靈來導入PADSLayout檔案

從AltiumDesigner的檔案選單來啟動導入精靈。

右擊跳出選單,會每個頁面-一步步來引導您導入檔案。

TheImportWizardcanbelaunchedfromtheAltiumDesignerFilemenu.

Clickonthismenucommandtoinvokethewizard.Right-clickpop-upmenusareavailable

forfurthercontroloverthetranslationprocessthrougheachpageofthewizard.

導入的檔案如下:

(FilesintheImportWizardtranslateasfollows)

(1)PADSASCIIPCBLayout(*.ASC)檔案轉換到AltiumDesignerPCB檔案(*.PcbDoc)

(3)這些檔案將自動建立成一個AltiumDesigner的PCB專案(*.PrjPCB)。

PADSPCBASCII檔案的LayerMapping(LayerMappingforPADSPCBASCIIFiles)

AllusedPADSPCBlayersmustbemappedtoanAltiumDesignerlayerpriortoimport

whenusingtheImportWizard.

Thereareadditionaloptionsprovidedtocontroltheautomaticcreationofdesignrules,

missingviasandkeep-outconversionsaswell.

ItshouldbenotedabouthowthelayersaremappedonimportforPCBdesigns.

LayerMappingissimplyamappingbetweenthenamesofthePADSPCBlayersandAltiumDesignerPCBlayers.

Ofcourseyoucanchangeasmanymappingsasyouwantasonlysuggesteddefaultmappingsaregiven.

ThismappingisusedbytheImportWizardtobuildthelayermapping

foreachPCBthatcanthenbeindividuallycustomized.

TherationalehereisthatshouldyouwishtoimporttenPCBdesignsand

youwanttomapthelayerAssembly1toMechanicalLayer1,

youwouldnothavetocustomizeeachofthetenPCBdesignsinordertogettherightlayermapping.

Theadvantagetoimportinginthismanneristhatbatchmanagementoflayermapping

cansavealotoftimewhenimportingmultipledesigns.

Inthisinstance,thedefaultlayermappingwillbesavedtoyourPreferences.

ThedisadvantagetousingthisisthatDefaultLayerMappingisnotalwaysintelligent

withdifferingstructuresindesigns,andsosomemanualchangesmaybeneededafterwards.

llneedtodecidewhatisbestforyoursituation.

TurningtheOverridePadInnerValueoptiononmeansthatimportedpads

willhavetheirsizesonthemidlayerssettothelargestsizefound.

IfyouareusingOrCADCapture™SchematicfilesincombinationwithyourPADSLayoutPCBdesigns,

youcanstillusetheImportWizard.

FilesintheImportWizardtranslateasfollows:

OrCADCapture的(*.DSN)檔案轉換到AltiumDesigner的原理圖檔案。

Ifyouencounterthisproblem,therearetwowaysyoucanfixit:

UpgradetoAltiumDesignerSummer09(orlater),whichrecognizestheOrCADCapture10.xfileformat.

(2)DSN檔案去做降存-OrCADCapture10.x的版本。

Resavethe*.DSNfileinOrCADCapture10.xintheolderformat.

要做到這這一點,確定DSN是在專案面板裡,選擇OrCADCapture的10.X。

執行File»

SaveAs。

Todothis,startOrCADCapture10.x,andmakesuretheDSNisselectedintheprojectpanel.

RunFile»

SaveAs.

你會看到一個小對話框說:

刪除接腳名稱和編號。

(RemovePinNameandNumberMovement)

此複選框將出現如果接腳名稱和號碼(pinnameandnumbers)已經移至10.x.

YouwillseeasmallcheckboxsayingRemovePinNameandNumberMovement.

Inboth,thesymbolreferencesthelowerlevelschematic.

InAltiumDesignerthisissimplyanotherschematicsheet;

inCaptureitcanbemorecomplex.

Capturehasanotherlayerofdesignpartitioningthataffectshierarchy.

InCapturethereisaschematic,whichpresentasafoldericoninCapture'

sProjectManager,

andtherearepages,whichpresentasaschematicsheeticon.

EachCaptureschematiccanbemadeupofoneormorepages.

TheCapturehierarchicalblockpointstotheschematicbelow,

whichmeanstheblockcanactuallyreferencecircuitrydividedovermultiplepages.

TypicallyaflatCapturedesignisoneschematic(folder),withthedesignbeingdrawnon

asmanypagesasrequiredinthatschematic(folder).

Forahierarchicaldesign,thehierarchicalblocksymbol

(orpartwithanattachedschematicsheetormodel)

isthemechanismusedtopartitionthemajorfunctionalregionsofadesign.

Forasimplehierarchy,eachhierarchicalblock,orpartwithanattachedschematicfolder,

orVHDLmodel,representsauniquedesignmodule.

TheHierarchytabinOrCADCapture'

sProjectManagerdisplaysasimplehierarchicaldesignasatreeofschematicpages.

TheschematicfolderorVHDLentityatthetopofahierarchy,whichdirectlyorindirectlyrefers

toallothermodulesinthedesign,iscalledtherootmodule.

IntheOrCADProjectManager'

sFiletab,therootmodulehasabackslashonitsfoldericon,shownbelow.

Therootmodulefolder,aswellasanyothermodulefolder,

cancontainasmanyschematicpagesorVHDLmodelsasrequired.

whilethehierarchicalblocksandportsconnectthenetsbetweentheschematicfolders.

Globalsareusedtoconnectpower/groundnetsthroughoutthedesign.

AltiumDesignerusesasimilarsetofnetidentifierstocreatenetconnectivity.

WithinaschematicsheetyoucanuseWiresandNetLabels.Betweenschematicsheets,

netsinaflatdesignaretypicallyconnectedusingPorts,butOff-SheetConnectorsarealsoavailable.

NetsinahierarchicaldesignareconnectedfromaPortonthelowersheettoaSheetEntryofthesamename,

inthesheetsymbolthatrepresentsthelowersheet.Power/groundnetsareconnectedusingPowerPorts.

TheSchematicSymbolisthePart

AsanexpertPADSLayoutuser,you'

llknowthatpartsformthebasicbuildingblocksofdesigninPADSLayout.

Partsaredefinedashavingaparttype,alogicfamily,numberofpins,numberofgates,andsignalpins.

ThetermcomponentisonlyusedwhenthepartbecomesplacedasaphysicalobjectinthePC
