Ithinkthereareprobablythreereasonsfortheirdifferences.First,becauseoftheinfluenceofdifferentsocialandfamilyvalues,ChinesestudentshaveformedthehabitofaskingformoneyfromtheirparentswhileAmericanstudentshavedevelopedmoresenseofbeingfinanciallyindependent.Second,mostChineseparentsdevotetoomuchcaretotheirchildrenandtheywouldrathersaveuptoaffordtheirchildren’seducationratherthanencouragethemtotakepart-timejobs.ButinAmerica,manyparentspaymoreattentiontodevelopingthestudents’abilityofself-reliance,sotheyencouragetheirchildrentofindpart-timejobtoearnsomemoneybythemselves.Third,sinceAmericaismoredevelopedthanChina,itisrelativelyeasyforstudentstofindparttimejobs.InChina,suchopportunitiesareratherrare.

Thereareseveralreasonsforthechanges.Firstly,withthedevelopmentofeconomy,manypeoplehavebecomebetteroff.Studentscangetfinancialsupportfromtheirparentsfortraveling.Secondly,tourismhasgreatlydevelopedoverthepasttenyears.Manynewscenicspotshavebeenbuiltandexploited.Inaddition,thestudentstodayareexpectedandencouragedtoparticipateinfacingtherealworld.Inthiswaytheycanobtainthenecessaryexperiencesrequiredwhentheygojob-huntingupongraduation.
