Aftermakingamistake,participantsgenerallyansweredthenextquestioncorrectlyiftheyhadasecondorsotorecover.Butwhenthenextchallengecameveryquicklyafteranerror,aslittleas0.2seconds,accuracy36byabout10percent.Electricalactivityrecordedfromthe37cortex(大脑皮层)showedthatparticipantspaidlessattentiontothenextexperimentiftheyhadjustmadeamistakethaniftheyhadresponded38.
