TheBoundaryScantestgenerator,theRuntimeSystem（RTS）,anddiagnostictasksuseboundary-scanvectors.TheRTSreadsvectorsfromtheBoundaryScanVectorfile,andwritesvectorstotheBoundaryScanResultsfile.Finally,theDiagnostictaskreadsvectorsfromtheBoundaryScanResultsfileandalsowritestheBoundaryScanVectorfile.

TheScanPathfindersoftwarewritesandreadsaboundary-scanvectorinthefixedorderdescribedbelow.Thevectorisprecededbyalistoffieldscalledavectorkey.Thevectorkeymustappearintheordershown,andthefieldsmustbeseparatedbythespacecharacter.
