maybeyouagreewiththesebeliefs.maybeyoudont.maybeyoucareabouttheseissuesandmaybethereareotherchallengesthatyou,classof2013,arepassionateabout.maybeyouwanttomakeadifferencebyservingingovernment.maybeyouwanttolaunchyourowntelevisionshow.ormaybeyousimplywanttocollectsomechange.yourparentswouldappreciatethataboutnow.thepointisyourgenerationischargedwiththistaskofbreakingthroughwhatthebodypolitichasthusfarmadeimpervioustochange.eachofyouhasbeenblessedwiththisenormous

opportunityofattendingthisprestigiousschool.younowhaveachancetobetteryourlife,thelivesofyourneighborsandalsothelifeofourcountry.whenyoudothatletmetellyouwhatiknowforsure.thatswhenyourstorygetsreallygood.mayaangeloualwayssayswhenyoulearn,teach.whenyouget,give.thatmyfriendsiswhatgivesyourstorypurposeandmeaning.soyouallhavethepowerinyourownwaytodevelopyourownangelnetworkandindoingsoyourclasswillbearmedwithmoretoolsofinfluenceandempowermentthananyothergenerationinhistory.ididitinananalogworld.iwasblessedwithaplatformthatatitsheightreachednearly20,000,000viewersaday.nowhereinaworldoftwitterandfacebookandyoutubeandtumbler,youcanreachbillionsinjustseconds.yourethegenerationthatrejectedpredictionsaboutyourdetachmentandyourdisengagementbyshowinguptovoteinrecordnumbersin2008.andwhenthepunditssaidtheysaidtheytalkedaboutyou,theysaidyoudbetoo

disappointed,youdbetoodejectedtorepeatthatsamekindofturnoutin2012electionandyouprovedthemwrongbyshowingupinevengreaternumbers.thatswhoyouare.
