第六届中博会计划展览面积超过10万平方米，参展企业来自包括香港、澳门、台湾在内的中国34个省、市、自治区和西班牙王国以及世界其他国家，企业总数将超过4000家，重点设电子信息、家用电器、机械装备、节能环保、消费类及建材类产品等行业展区，专设西班牙馆、国际馆和港澳台馆等境外企业展馆，预计参观人数将超过20万人次。
第六届中博会将为中国和世界各国的中小企业提供一个展示、交流、交易、合作的平台，是中国乃至全球最大的以中小企业为服务对象的国际性博览会。
西班牙王国作为第六届中博会的主宾国，将组织生物技术、机床、零部件及工业设备、信息技术、农业产品、能源与气候变化及环境、旅游、特许经营、工程及建筑和教育等十大行业的企业前来参展参会，向中国和世界展示西班牙的现代化和高科技以及特色文化。

中国国际中小企业博览会简介
中国国际中小企业博览会（简称中博会）由中华人民共和国工业和信息化部、国家发展和改革委员会、财政部、商务部、国家工商行政管理总局、国家质量监督检验检疫总局、中国银行业监督管理委员会、广东省人民政府联合主办，每年9月在中国广东省广州市举行。
中博会得到中国各省（市、自治区）政府和企业的大力支持和积极响应。
自2004年以来，中博会已成功地举办了五届，国内外参展参会企业累计超过15，000家，前来参展参观的海内外观众累计超过110万人次，参展企业涉及电子电器、机械制造、纺织服装、食品饮料、医药生物、建材家具、玩具礼品、箱包鞋帽等众多领域，是中国最大的中小企业展示、交流、交易、合作博览会。
举办地中国广东省，是中国经济实力最强、经济最具活力的省份之一，综合经济实力居全国首位，是享誉全球的“世界工厂”和“贸易中心”。
广东省的制造业发达，已形成电子资讯、电器机械及专用设备、纺织服装、食品饮料、建筑材料、石油化工、森工造纸、医药、汽车等九大产业，完整的产业链配套是“广东制造”的突出优势；
同时,广东又是中国的贸易大省，举世闻名的“中国进出口商品交易会”一年两届在广东省的省会广州市举行，广东历来就是世界商品进入中国和中国商品走向世界的南大门。
中博会先后与法国、意大利、日本和韩国联合举办，有效促进了这些国家在经济、文化领域与中国的交流与合作。
根据2007年亚欧会议中小企业部长会议发表的《北京宣言》中国政府作出的承诺，从第五届中博会起设立了“亚欧中小企业合作交流馆”，邀请亚欧会议成员组团参会参展，中博会的国际化特色得到进一步加强。
2008年中博会通过全球展览业协会（UFI）的认证，成为全球UFI认证展会之一。
中国国际中小企业博览会事务局是中博会的执行机构，在中博会组委会秘书处领导下，负责承办中博会的具体事务。
