Bothteaandcoffeehavealonghistory.Thereisnodoubtthattheyhadformedrelatedculturesrespectively.Comparingthetwocultures,onecouldfindoutthattherearemanydifferencesbetweenthem.Thosearepresentedinthefollowingdirections:

differencesintheclassifications,difierencesinthespreadingways,differencesintheprotocolsandsoon.Allthesedifferencesleaveanimpressionthatcoffeecultxireseemssimplerandfreerthanteaculture.Forexample,theprotocolsofteaarestrict,rulescannotbechanged.Whileinmakingcoflfeeonecandowhateverhelikes.Thesedifferencescanbetracedbacktotheformingofthesetwocultures.BothteacultureandcoffeecultureareareflectionoftheirrelatedsocietyDifferentpeoplehavedifferentthinkingmodes.Theorientpeopleseemmorefantastic,theybelieveinthingsthatdonotexist,suchasgods.TheywouldadjusttothenatureandkeepthingstheoriginalwayThewesterners,onthecontrary,preferrealism.Theywouldchangetheenvironmentinsteadofadjustingtoit.Thestudyofthesetwocultureswillcontributetotheunderstandingofthedifferencesbetweenorientcultureandwesternculture.Alsoitwillhelptheinterchangeofthesetwocultures.

茶与咖啡都拥有着悠久的历史，因此它们都衍生出了相应的文化。

对比这两种文化很容易发现两者的不同。

这些不同之处体现在分类、传播方式、相关礼仪及其它方面上。

这些差异无不昭示着相较于茶文化，咖啡文化显得更加的自由随性。

一如两者在礼仪上的差异：

茶礼仪已经固定下来并有着一套严格的步骤；

而咖啡礼仪则相对简单的多。

深究下去就能发现除客观原因外，这些差异都与东西方传统文化及人们的思维模式有关。

东方人比较感性，讲求融入自然；

而西方人则更加理性，较之于适应环境他们更愿意改变环境。

只有了解了这两种文化，才能更好的理解东西方文化的差异，促进东西方的文化交流。

I. INTRODUCTION

Therehavealwaysbeendifferencesbetweenteacultureandcoffeeculture.Peopleseldomthinkaboutthereasons.Infact,teacultureandcoflfeeculturearedifferentbecausetheyhavedifferencesinsocialatmosphere,historyandliterarybackground.Peoplehavedonelotsofresearchesonit.Theresearchescanbemainlydividedintothreedirections:

researchonteaculture,researchoncoflfeeculture,andresearchonthesimilaritiesanddifferencesbetweenthem.

Asaboutthediscussionofteaculture,theresearchersmainlytalkaboutthehistorytheprotocol,andtheinfluenceofteahaveonthinkingmodes,andtheyonlydiscussteacultureindependently.Inthediscussionofcoflfeeculture,theymainlytalkabouttheoriginofcoffee,thebroadcastingofcoffee,andthedifferencesofcoffeeculturebetweendifferentcountries.Yettheystilltalkaboutcoffeecultureseparately.GeneralAnalysisontheComparisonofChineseTeaCultureandFrenchCoffeeCulturebyWangYiilangoesdeeperaboutthesetwocultures.（WangYiilan:

2008）Itisgoodthatshediscussesthemcomparatively,buttheshortcomingisthat:

itonlytalksaboutcoffeecultureinFrance,anditmainlytalksaboutteaandcoffeethemselvesinsteadoftheculture.

Consideringthepresentstudyconditionandtheshortcomingstheyhave,thisthesiswillmakeananalysisonteacultureandcoffeeculturecomparativelyinthefollowingsections.Inparttwo,thethesiswillintroduceteacultureandcoffeecultureindetails,includestheirdefinitions,originsandclassifications.Andtheninpartthree,thethesiswillmakeathroughanalysisonthedifferencesbetweenthem.Thesedifferencesincludethedifferentbroadcastingmethodofteaandcoffee,differentprotocolsandtherelatedworks.Alsointhispart,thethesiswillintroducethepresentconditionsofteaandcoflfee,aboutteainwesterncountriesandcofieeinChina.Finally,thethesiswillmakeaconclusionthatthesedifferencesaretheresultofthedifferentthinkingmodesbetweentheorientsandthewesterners.TheChinesepeoplebelieveinnature,whilethewesternerspreferrealism.TheChineseprefertheunityofheavenandhumanitywhilethewesternermakethedivisionbetweenheavenandpeopleclear.

Manypeopleareinterestedinteacultureandcoffeeculture,butfewofthemknowaboutthebasicknowledgeofthem.Thusitisnecessaryforthepersonswhowanttohaveafurtherstudyaboutteacultureandcoflfeeculturegetacquaintancewiththedefinitionsandthedifferencesaboutthetwocultures.Onlyinthisway,canapersonstartstosavourthetwocultures.
